My wife ran into a similar parent one time while using the restroom. She heard a mother YELL LOUDLY at her kid because she had to go poop. The mother said "Your father and I are spending thousand's of dollars on this trip and we have to take time to let you go poop. From now on you better make sure that you go at the hotel because we are not going to miss out on the rides so you can poop whenever you want!"

We felt so sorry for the little girl!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: If I had a dollar for every time I've had to hang around a restroom, twiddling my thumbs, waiting for DD to do her business, (often while chatting up a storm or even singing) I'd have enough money for a trip to WDW!!!! :yay: Silly me....I never thought to put her on a regimented pooping schedule for my convenience.

I was a CM at Epcot years ago on the college program, and I swear I once had this conversation with a guest when a typical Florida raindstorm started:

Guest: Oh stop it. tell them to stop it.
Me: Excuse me?
Guest: Tell them to turn the rain off.
Me: I'm sorry, Disney does not have control over the-
Guest: Oh I know you guys make it rain so people have to buy those hideous yellow ponchos.

Hope I'm not causing a rukus by saying this, but I was thinking the same thing. Personally, I would never make this request (I've never had an unpleasant "kids" experience at a restaurant), but if someone really and truly wants/needs a break from being around kids for one night and can't afford to eat at V&A's, I think this is a fine request-if it's doable...or maybe there could be a better way to word it (i.e. "may I have a table in a quiet area?")

I personally like to sometimes request tables away from the bar when I go out to eat (WDW & nonWDW-when it's possible of course. I love kids and don't mind an occassional meltdown, but I have an aversion to loud drunk people...to the point where it can really disrupt my meal and mood.

Again, I hope I'm not causing a stink here, but I do think it's reasonable to request something like this. WDW is inevitably full of kids, but I can sympathize with some tired adults who might have had a chaotic day at the park, kids screaming in their ear or what not, maybe a past experience with a kid throwing food or what have you, and they view a peaceful meal as "no kids around." Again, sharing a restaurant with kids is no concern for me most of the time (I enjoy being around them!), but I have had meals ruined by loud drunk people, enough times that if I walk into a place and the bar is packed, I'll ask to sit away from that area.

JMHO & please no flames! :lovestrucI don't think you're being unreasonable. I never really understood why the signature restaurants didn't seat the families near other families, and adult-only parties near other adult-only parties. Obviously at the park restaurants, and some of the resort restaurants, like Chef Mickey's, that would be impossible, but I see no reason why the signature restaurants couldn't do this.

The problem is that people do think that if they are not seated next to people with children that request will be honored the entire meal.

Last Jan. my DH and I were seated with our 4 children, all ages 9 and under, at Boatwrights dining Hall. A very family friendly resturant IMO.

Within minutes, a couple sitting next to us began in.....
"oh my gosh"
"I just can't believe it"
"This is just upsurd"

complete with many dirty looks towards our table. When their server came by again they asked to be moved immediatly to a table that was NOT by ANY children. They were moved.

But how did you think that made me and my oldest daughter feel.....TERRIBLE!!

I assure you my kids were being very very well behaved....they were simply coloring on their menus. Not a one was crying or talking loudly.

My husband could have cared less, but I was very offended.

Sorry to rant....the funniness of the thread can continue!!!!:goodvibes

I guess not so weird for us WDW fans, but my first comment to my DBF after we stepped off our plan back home into a hail storm was:

"You tell that pilot to turn around and take me back to WDW immediately!"

On the subject of rain, I had a guest complain when Tweedle Dee and Dum had to go in during a storm. She thought that they were fine, because they were covered. What were they covered by? A tree. And what happens to be the worst place to be during a storm?

When we were staying at WL in Dec there was a lady screaming at the CM b/c they did not have apple juice at Roaring Forks. She kept going on and on about how she had called ahead and specifically asked if there was apple juice, and now there was not. The sad thing is that her husband just stood there looking like he wanted to crawl into a hole. Poor guy!

I have 3 dds who all seem to need to use the bathroom the minute they see one. No matter where we are. I get really frustrated too, because it is ALL THE TIME. BUT I would never yell at them for having to go! I get mad when I have to stop and take them, only so they can go OH, I changed my mind! Oh, I just wanted to wash my hands! OH, I just wanted to see what the bathroom looked like!
SO, I get the frustration when it is so often but really, I would never get mad if my kids actually had to go to the bathroom. The poor kid!

Just remembered one from our last trip!

We were waiting in the preshow area at an Epcot show-I think it was Honey I Shrunk the Audience (preshow was a movie about imagination by Kodak). CM must have announced 10 times to please not sit on the ground and move all the way in, as it was very crowded. Anyways this family of about 8 teens and adults decided to sit on the ground anyways, right smack in the middle of everyone with their bags and stuff spread all around.

Anyways, when it was time to go in, the mom started complaining because someone stepped on her hand while everyone was on their way inside (mom was still sitting on the floor at this point). She said very loudly "Why can't people learn how to follow the rules instead of rushing in so fast?" The dad replied to her "Because they have NO respect for anyone around them, that's why!"

....ummm....maybe you should have followed the rules and not sat on the floor??:confused3

When was this? We were there in October 07, and THE EXACT SAME THING happened while we were there. I didn't hear anyone step on them, but my mom and I were giggling like crazy because I was just inches away from one of them, and I kept threatening to "accidentally" step all over them. The CM had made the "don't sit on the floor" comment at least three times by that point, and these people were just totally pretending to be deaf about it; I felt kind of justified in such an act, but my mother insisted that I behave. :rolleyes1

In other news, I love this thread.

I was eating at the Crystal Palace one morning and a woman came in and said in a very loud voice "I am not paying over a $100 dollers for breakfast with characters if I have to share the characters with all these people".
And then she proceeded to complain about how characters like Mickey Mouse and the Princesses weren't there.

This was just two weeks ago (2/08). They definately heard the CM say to refrain from sitting on the floor-the CM yelled it over the loud speaker. They just thought the rules didn't apply to them.:sad2: My DBF was insisting to me to behave as well!

I once worked with a woman who used to work at City Hall in DL. She used to tell us all kinds of stories about crazy guests, but I'm afraid I don't remember many of them anymore. :sad1:

The one that I do remember however happened right after Fantasmic had opened. She said that a man came in and asked to speak to someone about the show. Apparently he felt that Fantasmic wasn't "Fantasmic-ey" enough, and he wanted to share a few tips he had on how to make it better. :wizard:

We were also there in Oct. 07. My husband has health issues and ended up leaving the preshow area because he needed to sit down and there is no area provided to sit. Even though people were sitting around us, he felt we needed to respect the rules regardless of his physical problems, so he left and I saw the show by myself. (And yes, we did ask a CM for a place to sit and they had nothing available. We ran into this a few attractions, much to our surprise.) Btw, he did get to see the show another day when we timed it so that we got into the pre-show area just before the doors opened.

This is a cross between funny and weird:
My mom and I had purchased a Pal Mickey and were enjoying his company. So we were coming out of Muppets and I heard him giggle so I put him up to my ear to listen. Well this woman came out of nowhere and tapped me very hard on the shoulder and this is the conversation that followed:
"Are you ENJOYING your little toy?"
"Umm, yes, thanks, he's very fun....."
"Well he is the BIGGEST rip-off, we got one for my daughter's birthday and we've had it in the park for 3 days and all he does is giggle!!! He doesn't tell us ANYTHING! The woman at the store told us that he would tell us when characters were out or when lines were short, and he does NOTHING. AND they won't take it BACK either because we've had it three days. I can't believe Disney is FORCING me to keep a defective toy, it has RUINED our trip. ALL HE DOES IS GIGGLE!!!!"
"Umm, when he giggles, you're supposed to squeeze his tummy or his hand so that he knows you want to hear what he has to say....."
*woman's mouth drops open*
"Why you little!!!!"
*woman turns around and storms off*
:confused3 What did I do?
My mom and I were so completely stunned by this woman's tirade that we sort of just stood there for a couple minutes in silence. It wasn't until later that afternoon that the true hilarity of the situation got to us and we just laughed and laughed and laughed. I was just amazed someone had the audacity to come up to a complete stranger and shout the way she did. Guess Disney lets in all sorts......

2. At Hoop Dee Doo a dad kept yelling at his kid to not make so much noise. He was "ruining" the filming of the show. My friends and I (who were sitting right next to them), being the passive aggressive people we are, made twice as much "hootin and hollerin" than we normally would. I really was kind of sad b/c the kid was about 16-17 and was just starting to get into the show and getting over the "I'm too cool to be at wdw w/ my family" thing.

I must say that I did something similar once at Fantasmic (or as I call it Fantasmagoric). There was a couple of not nice people behind us compaining about the chanting and cheering of the Brazilian tour group behind them. Now just let me say that the tour groups give me a headache too, but this was long before the show was to start and they were enjoying themselves. the thing is this couple started being the ugly Americans and yelling at them to at least chant in English, and why take a vaction to someplace and don't even learn the language. When she turned around and yelled that they needed to shut the Hell up and go back where they came from, I'd had enough. The outburst had shocked the kids and they were silent...until I stood up, faced them and started the chant for them even though I didn't speak the language, I just copied what it sounded like. Soon enought the kids took it up, the couple just glared at me, and then left. My daughter and wife are normally embarassed when I do those kind of things, but this time they thought I was right.

The first time my SIL (at the time, my brother's fiancee), went with us, she continually/continuously complained about everything - the wait in lines, how cheesy things were, how stupid this was. At one point, she was saying, "You know, Myrtle Beach is soooo much better than this." I finally turned around, looked her in the eye, and said (very much out of character for me), "Then next time, we'll be leaving you at Myrtle Beach!" Happily by the next time we went, she had settled down some.

Who thinks Myrtle Beach is better than DisneyWorld?:confused3

Goodness gracious I went and lived in another country for four months and never learned the language.

I did wittness something wierd at Disney on my honeymoon though. DH and I had stopped to watch a high school marching band come through the park when I saw a woman take down her child's pants (again this child looked to be 2 or 3 years old) and proceeded to hold her over the bushes and let her pee  . I know you gotta go when you gotta go but that was waaaay wierd considering there are bathrooms everywhere :confused3 .

People did this in Europe all the time. We were walking around the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, and there was a man peeing over the side of the bridge.
That was the only time I saw adults do it though, every other time it was children.
They don't have a lot of public restrooms... It's possible that person was from Europe and wasn't used to not having to pay to go to the bathroom. Or they were from the US and simply felt they were entitled to not have to wait in line...

Okay, I know this is supposed to be "weirdest" but this is really pretty sad. On last summer's trip, some friends of ours were staying at Buena Vista Palace by Downtown Disney which seemed like a very nice resort, except for the fact that there was no access to EMH and that the transportation from Disney to the Resort could be confusing at times. (We were staying on property - wow is it worth it!).

We were at Epcot and AFTER Illuminations on an EMH night we all decided that (just to be sure) we would stop into Guest Relations and just ask if "Good Neighbor Hotels" or whatever they are called had EMH priveleges. My friends really needed to check on the last shuttle back to their hotel, anyway. So my son and I went with them to say good night and relax a little and rest up for our EMH fun.

Well we were the only group in guest relations and the two girls at the counter were, of course, being extra sweet and apologetic about our friends not being able to stay with us at the park, etc.

Then, in burst this man yelling and screaming about how is daughter was in line to see Minnie Mouse and got up to her turn to see Minnie when the CM with Minnie told the little girl that she could not see Minnie because she did not have a bracelet. The park has been closed for atleast a half an hour by now. And this guy is freakin' out. Like somehow he doesn't have to leave at closing time, like everyone else. Evidently he is special even if he is not staying on property. Okay, every word out of his mouth was the word Minnie or a word which I am not allowed to write here. :scared1: It was the craziest scene ever with the yelling and the cussing. The room turned suddenly from sweet and peaceful to very aggressive and uncomfortable.

Now, I must mention that we live 25min. from Blacksburg, my ex is a Tech grad, my friend's father is a Tech grad and our children spend a lot of time at Tech. We have family, neighbors and friends that were there as students and teachers that awful day last year. (One of the professors lost was a fellow lacrosse coach. Terribly, sad.) Anyway, this was just a few months after the Tech tragedy and my son had just started relaxing again. When in walks this lunatic at Disney World yelling, screaming, threatening and completely losing control of his senses. I looked over at my 8 year old son and he was frozen and white. I got over to him just as the man stormed out (after telling the manager that there was nothing Disney could ever do for him again - or something like that along with more cussing) then my son just lost it. He said he was sure that man was going to kill us all. The CM's ran around comforting him and ran and grabbed a Mickey baseball and gave it to him to help make him feel better, it took a few minutes to calm him down. And then he told the CM's thank you and that he was happy again.

To break the ice my friend turned to her kid's and said "Why didn't you cry" :rotfl2: (Alluding to the fact that our family always has better luck than her's when it comes to getting free stuff) Anyway, we did all laugh and were able to go back to the "magic".

The next morning when we met up with our friends at the Animal Kingdom my friend's daughter couldn't wait to tell us who was on their bus. It was the "crazy man" and my friends DD said it was a very tense ride.

BTW - the CM's were doing everything they could to calm him and to try to help him, but he just kept saying he didn't want anything from them :confused3 (then whatya doin' in Guest Relations, Buddy)

My friend's kids always talk about the guy that yelled so loud about his daughter crying that he made my DS cry. I know that complainer's do not think about the people around them when they complain. But sadly, sometimes their outbursts can be very uncomfortable and frightening. There should be laws against making children cry at Disney World.

Wait Wait!!!! There IS One!!! Its called "after show gift store!" Disney does not want ANY child crying, so they place these stores right after each ride to lift your spirits so you can purchase a gift from each ride!!! Unfortunately, some people still disappoint the children, occasionally making them cry, by not buying 2 or 3 gifts at each store.:confused3

:happytv: :happytv: :happytv: :happytv: (That was a joke.)

I'm sorry, your story really was infuriating. Perhaps if someone just explained to him that he was supposed to leave? Sometimes we take for granted understanding these things because we're on the DIS so much. Maybe he really didn't know? If he just stopped in at WDW for the day while passing through to the beach he may not have known that the park was closing early for a extra ticket event.:confused3 (Or perhaps he DID, and didn't CARE.)
Anyways, I was just trying to add a little humor to a bleak situation. :goodvibes

"You tell that pilot to turn around and take me back to WDW immediately!"

Reminds me of my last flight back from WDW. There was a kid a couple rows behind me that just kept screaming GO BACK!!!. Now this wasn't long after the "bye bye plane" incident, so my mum and I are sort of mentally hoping the kid will be quiet. Then he started screaming "GO BACK TO DISNEY WORLD!!!" so I turned to my mum and said "wait!!! Listen to the kid!!! Listen to the kid!!!". :rotfl:

As crazy as this may sound... Thats one of the reasons I love Disney.
I LIKE the walking. I like how my body seems to know we are at Disney. I used to have problems with it, but after about the 10th trip, my body sort of reverts back to a "state of mind". Kinda hard to explain. AFTER a trip to WDW, walking for the rest of the week is much easier. If I ever actually won the lottery, we discussed moving to Orlando, and spending a day at WDW every other day, even if only a few hours a day. Yeah. I'd probably get sick of it, but after a good six months I'm sure I'd be a good 20-30 pounds less.

Just getting into the gates is a small workout. I actually enjoy the fitness end of it.

BUT I do have a few tips for newcomers to WDW that could help.
#1 SHOES!!! Shoes are EVERYTHING. We like Crocs (actual brand, NOT the imposters which often just aren't as comfortable.) Ditch the flip flops, boots, high heels, and never wear brand new shoes or hard flats. A good worn pair of New Balance or Reebok or a pair of Crocs and your set.

#2 WORK YOUR WAY UP!!! We have gotten in a habit of parking at the furthest spot in the parking lot when we go to grocery stores, Walmart, Costco, etc. We always talk it up through the parking lot of how we gotta get ready for the trip. We also use that few minutes of walk time to discuss a few "whats left to do before the next trip" thoughts. We also take the stairs whenever possible.

3) MOLESKIN: BRING IT!! Dont worry about forgetting Hydrocortisome. Disney sells a better brand (there IS a difference) and they sell it for LESS than Walmart, so not everything at WDW is overpriced!

4) Try to think of the walking your doing at Disney as a "fun exercise" rather than a bother. A lot of your problems are in your mind.

5) Forget the attraction order hopping. I will argue with ANY advisor that the best way to do Disney is to go right at the entrance and hit EVERY single attraction as you go. Do NOT jump ahead to a bigger attraction. If your closer to a little one, do it next. Think of it as "How can I hit every attraction in this park with the least walking?". If your very fit already, don't worry about it. Do what you want, but if walking is a concern, do what I just mentioned.

NOW, to keep it on topic... heres a few I posted at another thread.

Strange things you ONLY hear at WDW:

Mom! I'm tired of wearing my ears!!!

Hey! Did you see HER ears???

My ears are making my head sweat!!!

Look! They won ears!!!

"Are they wearing DOG ears???" (they sell Mickey ears for your dogs!!!:rotfl2: I've seen an entire group who had bought them and was wearing them. I wish i had taken a picture. It was that funny. Almost as funny as the 4 gay men we once saw running all over Epcot in Tinkerbell costumes! (complete with the wings and wands)

One of the more rude things I seen was at Epcot. A women approached a CM in the Japan pavilion and asked where to get Chinese food. My single favorite is still when people who are SWIMMING in the POOL, filled with WATER "rush out" when it starts raining.:lmao: :rotfl2: :happytv: I could understand if it were thundering, or the sky turned all stormy, but just a simple quick shower in the clear sky??? Hurry away!!! You might get WET!!!:rotfl:

I never cease to be amazed how some people react about a little water. Your at Disney. You're *probably* going to ride WET RIDES, your going to sit on wet seats, your going to walk through misters, walk by fountains, and heat is unbearable. Your going to SWEAT, and sweat is MOISTURE!!! Whats the big deal? I'd rather have the overspray from a child's spraymister or splash from a pool or drizzle than sweat.

My daughter is a CM at Disney and last night she was telling us this story of what a lady said to her. It was raining and thundering and lighting outside. They cancelled the parade. This lady walks up to my DD and asks her if this is all Disney's fault. Like Disney can controll the weather now , just so they can cancel a parade.

Living near the ocean, I know the life guards call people out of the water if lightening is seen with in a certain X miles away. I would assume it's the same at a water park. We've been swimming in the rain before.

Ok, this isn't something that I overheard, but something I said.

My sister and I go to Disney often, she's nine. One of the "rules" we have is "no whining!". See, when you go with your sister, they tend not to listen and WHINE.

So, it's nearly 12:30 am and the end of the pirate and Princess Party. We had just gotten off the teacups, and told Jordyn it was time to go. We were with another family and their Jordan had picked the teacups. Suddenly, Jordyn decided to errupt in a fit of whines. "But HE picked that ride and I didn't ... and I want to go on some more rides! And I don't want to leave, we just nearly got here! And Juliette got to pick more rides than me ... you don't like me!" Whew ... I bout lost it ... so I looked at her calmly and said "Sorry, I can't hear you. Walt forgot to add whining to all the things you can do here. You know it's not in the rule book. Remember, there's no whining at Disney." and walked off, leaving her just standing there in all her preteen glory.

The dad next to us about died. He was laughing so hard! "Honey, did you hear that? There's no whining at Disney. She said there's a rule book, she actually told that little girl there is a rule book at Disney. Can you believe that?"

It's still funny to me ... just b/c that dad about died. Jordyn came up and said she was sorry, and we were off ... but seriously, there is no whining at Disney!

Oh I am so using this!:rotfl:

My mom and I were waiting for the bus to MGM a couple of years ago and next to us there was a woman sitting there from before we got there. She was talking on her cell phone and she began to complain that the bus to Universal was taking forever to come. We cringed and hoped she had confused it with MGM...When our bus finally came she asked our driver when the bus to Universal was coming and he had to explain that it wasn't a Disney resort and she got mad that they didn't have a bus that goes there...don't know if that counts as a complaint or not but it was certainly a bit cringeworthy.

A few years ago my family & I were purchasing something at Team Mickey & somehow we started talking with the Cast Member about Disney Cruise Line. Anyway he went to on tell us that he heard a guest complaining that he & his family did not see any Mickey Mouse clouds like they would advertise in the commercials. When I heard that I could not stop laughing, because it was one of the funniest things I ever heard.

Anyway if I was wondering what are the weirdest complaints you have heard in WDW, by overhearing someone talking to a Cast Member or having someone tell you a story.

My only complaint ever was from this lady who I asked to be quite becuase she was busy translating to her son back in SPANISH while the show was going on because she was being loud and then the disney employees asked us to stay behind because they were upset. I told them to tell them to learn english and you can translate during the middle of a show that me and my kids were trying to enjoy and we went off to enjoy the next show. Common politeness should be recognized not to talk during a show and then to yell at disney employees to try to ruin our day was horrible.

Here is one happened to me as a CM on a very very crowded day....

35 y/o Male with 10 y/o son, 12 y/o daughter, and wife..

Comes to the fast pass lane
"Can we come in"
"Do you have a fast pass"
"No"
"You can wait in the standby line or get a fastpass for a later show"
"It's my son's birthday"
"Happy Birthday"
"Can we come in because it's his birthday"
"No Sorry"
"But we came all the way from North Carolina (not sure but somewhere not that far away)"
"Sorry sir you can get a fast pass and come back later"
"We are vip and were given fast passes for all the rides"
"Oh... Can I see them please"
Man shows me a Magical Moments certificate for A ride in a different park (AK) and a the free Goofy Disney Vacation Button
"Sorry sir these aren't fast passes"
"But the other people have been letting us go to the front of all the lines and giving us free stuff"
"I'm sorry sir. I cannot let you in the fast pass line without a fast pass"
"You can. You just won't"
"No I Can't"
"Whatever guys lets get out of here"

Ugh... I was kinda glad he was so rediculous because it made me laugh a bit instead of getting super angry.....

He was having this conversation with me in front of about 30 guest who had been waiting in the standby lane for 20+ minutes...

Keep 'em coming folks, these are great!

OK, here's mine...

last Sept. we were heading out of the park on our last day and out come Clarabelle and Horace. A woman walks over and asks the CM, "Who are these people?" to which he replies, "Oh, these aren't people ma'am. She's a cow and he's a horse." Clarabelle and Horace looked hurt and offended so I said their full names to the lady and they cheered at me. The lady huffed and turned to her son and said, "Do you want to see these people?" It was hilarious :rotfl:

Just letting you know, lighting always comes before thunder.
I remember this same line on a Disney Movie!:car: :car: :happytv:
Thunder is the sound of lightning. The sound we know as thunder is the rush of atmospheric gasses replacing the gasses that were burned by the lightning.

But in all fairness, you still have more chances of dying in a car on your way to work than you do in a pool with just thunder in the background. But the original statement was RAIN, not thunder. Rain is not always accompanied by lightning OR thunder. Rain is more often alone, so the chances of getting struck by lightning JUST BECAUSE it starts raining while you are in the pool are almost extinct. Now, COMMON SENSE is if it starts LIGHTNING... of COURSE you get out!!! But we're talking about a small sprinkle of rain here, not a lightning storm. They are two totally different things!!!

A few good ones:

Then there was the guest who demanded to know where the MK exit was. After giving the guest directions, he said, "No, I know the entire park is on a giant turntable. I want to know where the exit is right now." No matter what we told him, he insisted he knew the "truth" and couldn't understand why we were "lying" to him. A manager was called, who also tried (unsuccessfully) to convince the guest that the park was not on a turntable. Finally, the manager threw up his hands and said "You know what, sir? You caught us. You're right, the park really *is* on a giant turntable. Right now, the exit is at the end of Main Street, USA. If you hurry you can make it before it moves."

Of course it rotates, why else would they have to put a hub it the middle of it. :rotfl:

My all-time favorite story involved a female guest who stormed into the Grand Floridian one night and, pointing at Seven Seas lagoon, demanded to know why Disney had chosen to flood the parking lot (!), and how would they be reimbursing her for her car?

Okay These two are just down right hilariouss.

At AKL last year, the guy on the balcony next to me shouted "I DID NOT PAY $300 A NIGHT FOR THE GIRAFFE TO WALK THE (expletive) AWAY FROM ME! COME BACK HERE YOU LONG NECKED MAMMAL"

that *almost* made my vacation

We encountered a lady on the monorail who complained that her family didn't get to ride up front with the driver. What had happened was, the family was in the first compartment behind the driver with us. When the monorail stopped the people riding with the driver got out. The woman hurried out of the car and tried to get in the front. A CM told her he was sorry but there was already another family waiting on the platform who had asked to ride up front. Well, she got back in with us and proceded to carry on about "VIP's" and how if you aren't someone important or someone with money you don't get anything! She went on and on about how regular people are just out of luck. One of her kids asked, "What's a VIP?" Her husband looked a little embarassed because she just kept ranting on and on. Then, somehow or another, a CM came and got the family and told them they could ride in the front! You would have thought she would have felt bad after the spectical she made of herself, but she didn't appear to care.

This happened back in '93, my husband at the time and I were at Typhoon Lagoon in the wave pool. We were just standing there along the shoreline, and this father is yelling at his son. All of a sudden we hear him say "I doubt they said that to you, these are disney people and don't talk like that" :lmao:

It was so funny, even though true! It's like this magical world there were everything is happy, fun, and you have no cares in the world!!!! We looked at each other laughed and said that where else in the world could you say that and have it be true........

Its on camera, I found my spot for the parade and fireworks for the PPP 1 and a half hours before it started because I wanted a good view. 2 mins before they started two women with GINORMOUS pirate hats with feathers came and stood in front of me. I started going on about how Disney should ban people with huge hats or at least insist they remove them during fireworks and parades and yada yada yada! The women moved because I was complaining so loud  . Then the next thing you hear me say on the video is "GREAT! Now the man with the biggest fro in the WORLD decides to stand in front of me!!!!!". :rotfl2:

The trip before, I was stood in front of the castle waiting for Cinderellabration, again for a long time, Camcorder in hand when, just as the music started, a women literally knocked me flying, camcorder and all, and stood in front of me pushing me out of the way.I mean, I was literally picked up and put down somewhere else :scared: . She then got a load of her female friends to do exactly the same. I said "How rude!" to which she turned around and said, "I KNOW the guy playing Prince Charming!". "I need to be able to see the show." They all gave me dirty looks because I was apparently being rude! And of course, I didn't need to see the show. What is probably worse than that is that, now on my tape of it I have a bunch of women drowning out the music saying, "Oh my God! There he is! Oh, Marcia come over here and get a better look at him. Oh sure you can. Just step in front of HER. He's your son. I mean you've gotta at least get a look at him. Ma, Ma come and get a look at Steven. Oh he's so cute. Sure there's plenty of room. She'll move and let you in. Oh he's so amazing!!!!" :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2

At Beaches & Cream we overheard a woman ask how cold the ice cream was. The poor stunned CM just looked at her blankly for a moment and then answered, "It's frozen...so I guess pretty cold." And the woman then asks, "yes but some freezers aren't FREEZING cold, so is it FREEZING cold or just plain cold?"

She proceeds to go on and on about how she can tolerate ice cream that is not FREEZING cold, but she absolutely cannot eat it if it is FREEZING and she wants to make sure that they understand that if they serve her FREEZING cold ice cream she could get sick and she would hate to hold them responsible, but she may have to because she explained to them that she cannot tolerate FREEZING cold ice cream.

Customers at several tables were laughing at this poor woman. The CM finally says, "Well, we don't want to make you sick, maybe you should eat somewhere else." Her response was that she would just skip ice cream and have a burger.:confused3 Then she gets into a laundry list of how she has to have the burger cooked. Same sort of conversation all over again...she can't have it too hot, but wants it well done...she doesn't want to sick and have to hold someone responsible.:crazy2: DH swears she was trying to get a meal comped.

Our sons were convinced that it was some sort of Disney act. They just couldn't believe that anyone was that crazy.:scared:

Not WDW, but DL.

Day after Christmas this last year, and we are waiting for the shuttle bus back to our hotel. Of course, our bus only comes every 20 minutes, but we continually see buses for other hotels, and man if the CM's don't have buses there like every 2 minutes!

Anyway, one shuttle shows up that isn't ours (no surprise there :) ). A lady walks up to the driver and asks, "Does this go to the Candy Cane Inn?" Now, normally this would be a legit question, except right smack on the side of the bus, in BIG GREEN LETTERS -- Candy Cane Inn. And she was in a group, so it's not like someone else couldn't have told her.

My reply is :offtopic:, but since this thread is struggling anyways... I heard a funny thing along the same lines at a local Costco store. This high class lady asks if the soup SAMPLE was "spicy". The server said "Its not really spicy as in HOT, just spicy as in spices. It's from India" Her response made perfect sense. Indian food is spicy. Lots of Curry and such. (Indian food ranks among my favorite in the world!)
Anyways this lady then starts ranting on and on about how she can't tolerate spicy food. She theN said something that made me nearly spray my soup... "I can't take spicy foods! I'm just not into that whole SELF TORTURE THING!!!!" I'm a chilehead, and I nearly fell over laughing. Honestly. When I eat hot foods it's because I LIKE them. I never even considered that I was practicing "self torture" by eating something that I REALLY REALLY love.:rotfl2:

Spicy stuff is definetely torture for me. Can't stand it at all.

The big complaint from just about everyone the past couple of days (myself included) has been "It's too cold!" or some variant of "Florida should be warm".

I had someone complain about me because I wouldn't let them try earrings on their daughter (who was like 1). They were looking at gold earring because the kids ears were looking infected from the crappy posts the kid had in. Eww... unsanitary.

This thread is cracking me up! I have two complaints that I kind of chuckled over at the time. One was the woman who got off the AK bus and immediately complained that "They're dropping those people who drove right off at the entrance and we're way over here! We're resort guests, we shouldn't have to walk this far!"

My second favorite was the guy behind me in the TSM fastpass line (this was when they used to open the machines again once EMH started). We had been waiting there for about twenty minutes and he started complaining that they should have some kind of computerized machine to help speed up the process. I just thought to myself, they do have a machine...it's right in front of you. The crazy thing was the CM's had announced when the machines would open several times...the guy waited for about 30 minutes and ended up leaving two minutes before they opened up the FastPass again :confused3
