newbie here changing bookings

OK I have just made my first booking at the 11 month at my home resort SSR for 9 days the beginning of Nov :cool1:

Would love to stay at the BCV pixiedust:
as this is round the food and wine festival not holding out much hope , but the lovely lady on the phone told me to phone each morning at the 7 month window to see if there are any rooms
If I do this can i still keep my SSR booking just incase I do not get all the 9 days at the BCV
as I do not want to have to change resorts once we are there

Yes, you can call to reserve at BCV at 7 months and can keep your existing reservation intact until the new one is complete - as long as you have enough points for the two reservations. If you don't have enough points to keep the SSR reservation while making the BCV reservation, you can cancel one day at a time of the SSR reservation until you have what you want.

You won't be able to make the BCV reservation on a speculative basis while holding the SSR reservation - but this is very do-able. Even if you need to use the waitlist. If you are diligent at 7 months, I'm sure you will get your reservation - even if you need to use the waitlist for a ew of the days. 7 months is a long enough time to have everything come thru for you.

I would have to borrow points from the following year to do this
what happens when I have the 2nd reservation can I give the borrowed points back , as we have a Dec Year date and would not be going back for at least another year

If you borrow points points from your '07 use year, they will become '06 use year points and will be unable to be banked back into the '07 use year. With a December use year, you have just received your '06 points. BUT!!! If your November SSR ressie is with '06 points and not borrowed points, you will be able to cancel that ressie and bank THOSE points into '07 use year as long as you do so before the banking deadlines.
