DDP and points at a non-DVC resort?

I know that you can use the DDP if you rent points for a DVC resort, but can you also use it if you rent points and stay at the GF?

No. The agreement between Disney and DVC is only for DVC resorts on points. Not other resorts on points.

For the GF, you'd be using from 40-142 points per night depending on the time frame and location. With an average point cost of $10 per night, that's $420-1420 per night. You can probably do better with an AP discount or straight from Disney.
