-- I was in our cabin briefly around 2:00 on departure day. I stepped out on the verandah, and saw no fewer than SEVEN DCL buses pull up to the terminal, one right after the other. Do you suppose there was a long line at check-in? So glad we drove our rental car rather than take the bus...

-- Palo Dinner and Palo Brunch. What can I say? In addition to great food as always, we had a wonderful server, Michael from the Phillipines.

-- Parrot Cay is my new favorite rotation restaurant. In addition to the embarkation lunch buffet, which I've always enjoyed, we had dinner there for the first time. On our two previous cruises (3-day and 4-day), we ended up eating at Palo on our Parrot Cay night. I really liked the menu!

-- I went parasailing with the Mousefest group. This was my first time and it was great! For those who are afraid to try it, let me mention that I have a fear of heights, but it is only triggered when I think it is possible to fall. I had no problem at all. Parasailing is not a thrill ride! It is so peaceful, just floating around up there with a great view. The only thrill part is the ride back to the island when they open up the throttle! And I couldn't have picked a nicer, more enthusiastic group of people to got with!

-- Not a highlight but a major event. DS10 came down with a stomach virus, almost certainly picked up during the cruise. Fortunately I got him down to the Health Center before he started vomiting. He was out of it for about 12 hours but was completely recovered by the next morning. He was restricted to stateroom for 48 hours but fortunately was allowed to go to Castaway Cay, where he had a great time. If it hadn't been for that the restriction would have been very tough on him.

-- DS13 and I went to Atlantis resort on Nassau for the first time. It was supposed to be all four of us but DS10 got ill an hour before we went (instead of an hour after!). It really is an amazing resort. Rather than taking a tour we got a cheap room, which is quite possible in the off-season. It would have been a great deal if all four of us had gone. So we had the run of the entire resort and we saw virtually all of it.

-- I only went to one show this time, Disney Dreams. It was better than ever this time. Peter Pan and Anne Marie were not only great, but so obviously enjoyed working with each other that the show really clicked. We got to meet Peter earlier in the cruise when we saw him at a character greeting in front of the Walt Disney Theater after coming out of the shops. He had apparently just finished with the children and came right up and started talking to us, marvelously in character!

We just got off the Wonder and I agree Peter Pan was awesome (as were many of the other character interactions). I'm sorry to hear your DS ended up getting sick. I was so afraid that would happen to us, but thankfully we all stayed healthy. Thanks for sharing the highlights of your trip!

Hi, wondering about this cruise for this year, 2007, but notice it is the Mousefest cruise. Did this make any difference to the cruise? This would be our first cruise so I would have nothing to compare it with.

If you don't join the Mousefest group at their activities, it is a perfectly ordinary cruise, except for some unusual decorations on some stateroom doors.

Thank you. I wondered if they sort of took over the ship!!!:rotfl: So, you can join their activities?

Thank you. I wondered if they sort of too over the ship!!!:rotfl: So, you can join their activities?

Only about 10% of those on the cruise are registered with Mousefest, and each activity only involves a fraction of them. It's open to everyone -- see http://mousefest.org/ for info.
