Had a wonderful trip to the world Dec 27 - Jan 1. I want to go back at least once a year but DH and kids don't want to go that often.
I'm a teacher so it pretty much has to be Dec or Summer. I am thinking of taking my first solo trip the first week of winter break next year returning by Dec 23. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly apprecialted.

Is there any way you could go the first week of Dec. I know alot of people don't want to do that week because of Pop Warner but it is usually Mousefest and there are MANY of us mouse fanatics that go and so there is always something to do and someone to do it with, I met 2 great single women this past Dec.

I might be able to, if I used personal leave and was able to get it approved. It's tough to get much approved in Dec though and it could not lead up to the break so a lot depends on the school calendar. I will probably get next year's school calendar by the end of this month.
Honestly, I'd rather not deal with the personal leave issue. I'd rather plan to go when I know for sure I'm off work.

Good luck I've never been to Disney alone and I would love to hear your stories so please share when you get back.

If I had to work around school calendars, I would probably pick Spring Break, because the weather would be nice (not too hot or cold) and you can be more flexible about rides and dining when you're solo. Summer heat is really awful, and Christmas week is total chaos. I do a lot of solo trips, but I usually go in September, early December, and Late January/Early February, all times when you would be in school. If you could work out a vacation week in late January, I'd give it a try though.
