I know over on the solo board I believe they have a "Are then any single disney guys" So i thought why not have a Are there any single disney guys" college thread. Correct if this isnt allowed.

I figured it would be fun to get to know each other on here so yea.
Im Jen from Wisconsin. Been a Disney fan since the age of six. Im a criminal justice student at our tech college. I have two cats, fish, and a hermit crab. In my spare time I like to play with computers, collect monkeys and work on various crafts. Recently I found that ive got a love for wood working.
Ok so how about u guys? tell us about you!

Hey all!
I'm a disney single! I'm 22, an accounting student, and from Winnipeg, MB, Canada. All my friends call me a princess, which might explain why I fit in so well at Disney!
Planning a trip to Disney in April, I'll be there during my birthday (*sigh* the big 2-3!)
Hope to meet some guys!

I'm very jealous that you get to be at WDW for your birthday! I've always wanted to but my birthday is in June and crowds are too busy then. This year I'm going 3 weeks before my birthday (I'll be 23 too!) so close enough :)
IAmAPrincess
01-13-2007, 09:20 PM
Kellybely, I'm very excited! It will be so cool. When the reservations were made, the cast member took note of my birthday, so I wonder if they do anything special.
And I completely agree with what you said above. Guys always kinda do the eyeroll when I say I love Disney and I'm a Disney freak. I have disney wall paper on my computer at work, and they all just walk by and say "oh, how cute" and laugh. But hey, they don't know what they are missing or they're just jealous!
KellyBelly
01-13-2007, 09:27 PM
Hopefully they will do something special for your birthday with it being the year of million dreams.. I'd give them a list of dreams ;)
As for the guys yeah.. in my experience they think Disney stuff is for kids and that I need to grow up. They're missing out b/c WDW gets better every time I go. If they went with me to WDW then I would totally change their minds.

I was Given this page along with other web sites by a Person I recently met while at Disneyland. I saw This posting and had to post.As for Single Guys on here I am a Single 27 Year Old Guy That Loves Disney. I own two successful home based businesses but due to the love of Disney that was started as a kid I also work part tme in the park helping to bring the Magic alive. It takes me without traffic 45 minnutes to get to work with traffic more like an hour and a half but I love being there! I even drive there on my days off. Alot of my friends think I'm crazy but I just ignore them for All of My Best child hood memories are of my family and I at Disney World and It still brings me warm memories and warm feelings being there. I think it's even more so becouse I am part of making the memories for so many other Guests that arrive at the park. Even when I am not working and just in the park I am inquiring about Guests time in the park and trying to make sure that they are having a wonderful time even taking time to take pictures for them. I Love the Magic that is Disney!!

Hi all... I'm a 22 yr old female who would like to meet someone that shares the love of disney w/ me. I am planning on doing another CP this fall and then a Professional Internship in the Spring. If I do not get the PI, I am still planning on moving down there permanently. Feel free to IM on AIM at tiggerloverbball, if you have any questions about the CP, since I am a campus rep. ~Johanna~

I'm a single Disney guy living in Nebraska. It's hard to find any ladies here that are into the parks as much as I am. That's the curse of being in middle America, nowhere near either park. That's why I love this board, so I know that I'm not the only one my age that is still letting my inner child out. I might have to check out this facebook group, too.

Hi, I'm John, 20, I'm a sophomore Computer Science major at Washington State University.
A bit about me and how Disney i am:
I turned down a trip to Germany to go to WDW for my HS graduation present and I would do anything to be an Imagineer. Sometimes I listen to the Wishes soundtrack to go to sleep at night when I'm stressed.
Other stuff about me... I'm a big geek, I love gadgets and I spend a lot of time on the internet, it kinda goes hand in hand with the CS major... I love swing dancing, being with friends and goofing around. I'm a generally happy person but I like to be sarcastic and a general smartass.
I just joined the board but I've come to look up Disney parks stuff a few times since my mom was a hardcore Dis addict (not dissing it :P) before our trip in 05. I just figured out this week that American Airlines changed their rewards program so I only need 25k miles (used to be 40k) to fly to Orlando from Seattle and I have 57k racked up from flying to my dads in CA a bunch and my last trip to WDW...
I decided I'm going to either go next year for spring break (time to plan cheaper and I'll be 21 so I can drink around the world showcase :D) or that summer, and take a friend with my miles... Hopefully I can get a few people to go so hotel is cheaper... The Wilderness Lodge is too good to not stay there a third time.
I can't wait!

if you're such an expert WDW'er I'll have to see if you're going to be there whenever I plan my trip for next year...
I'm really leaning towards waiting for summer, so mid May cause my last day is May 1st and WSU is 300 miles from my house, then there's hardcore WDW prep... gotta make the DIS tags and all that... get some new quick dry clothes from REI for the daily downpour... all that stuff. May would be nicer weather than March anyways, right? And more pleasant than end of June - beginning of July?
And I could stay longer and not have to stress about getting back to school and not having done any homework/projects that I wouln't dream of touching at WDW... even a hardcore internet addict didn't even get online once while I was there last time, and that's saying something.

Very sound planning. The heat in the summer really doesn't bother me:confused3 I have been to Arizona in the summer:eek:

Yea, im a DVC member so we're using our points for it and the odd thing is that the points you pay for DLParis gets you the night in the resort and a ticket. I didn't realize that there were 2 parks, a MK and MGM like park, so hopefully I'll be staying 2 nights so I can enjoy both.
We'll if we're both in the parks at the same time we should try to meet up! That way I won't be the only one there speaking english et un peu de francais. :)

I'll keep you posted when the dates are set. That French sentence you said is more than I can speak, so you're one up on me (although I can count to 15 in French).
I read up on the DLP parks, and I'm jazzed about some of the stuff that we don't have here, especially Cinemagique. It reminds me of Monster Sound Show that was at MGM years ago (before Sounds Dangerous). It should be an interesting experience.

un peu de francais = a little french. I think. Im sure someone on the board is like...***...you suck at french. It's been 4 years after all.
Yea me too! Although I really want to compare apples to apples (ie: Cinderellas Castle) and see what changes they made from the US to France. They have had time to observe and change anything on the rides that they feel could be improved.
Definatly let me know when you have dates. Mine are subject to change as nothing has been booked yet.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. We are kind of rivals with Mankato in hockey, since we're both the mavericks. Right now, I'm going to Creighton University in Omaha for grad school. What are you studying?
I'm a sophomore that's double majoring in History and Dance with a minor in Poli Sci. I know those are funny choices.. I explained it all over on the "What's your major?" thread. What are you studying? Is grad school as intimidating as it sounds? I might end up there one day!

Yeah, I go to Winona State in Winona, Minnesota. However, I'm from Mankato, Minnesota originally and will be transferring to Minnesota State University - Mankato next year. How bout you?
i went to Winona for 2 year! then i transfered back home, because i had a "wonderful" advisor who basically told me that there was no way i would be good enough to do what i was going there for.

Hey everyone! I would love to meet some other people who love Disney. Anyway, my name is Kim and I am 20. I live a couple of hours from the Mouse! I will be graduating with my AA in Education in May. Then I will attend UF or UCF in the Fall....haven't made up my mind yet. I'm hoping my AA Graduation present will be a trip to DisneyLand for the POTC 3 Premiere!! :goodvibes It looks like it will, but only if I can convince someone to go with me

NO WAY! Can I guess that you're a nursing major?! Because my roommate's advisor told her the exact same thing - and accused her of being anorexic! Cool huh?

This is totally offsubject and random. But the other day in my Western Civ class, my prof asked a question about WDW. (Something or another about panoramic theatres..) And I of course answered it correctly! :thumbsup2

Hi, I'm Jeff... I'm a freshman(ish) at Ithaca College in upstate NY, studying Integrated Marketing Communications (advertising, public relations, etc)
I've applied for a couple of Professional Internships, and have a second interview for one of them on Thursday. If I don't get a PI from June to January, I plan on doing the CP in the spring.
My AIM screenname is the same as my username, send me a message sometime!

hey yeah! I don't know if this is weird for a guy, but I've always imagined myself meeting my wife in Disney World. I know I'm just 20 years old but I'm ready for commitment ladies! Takers? Eh?
I just got interviewed for the Fall 2007 Program and am anxiously waiting for the letter/e-mail. There's just something about that place and the people there...
But I'm about a easy going nice guy you'd want to meet. I love running, reading, guitar playing, music, acting, and having fun! Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you down there. Pray for me.

I'm single, am 23, from the UK and coming out on Oct 7th on International College Programme (postgrad hospitality management) :) i'm doing quick service food and bev.
I;m down here now...but on the International Cultral rep for 1 year!!!!
I haven't heard of that before, what is it?
Us international folk can come over on a number of programmes, heres some info to put you in the know:
Both Cultural Reps and International College programme people live in Disney Accomodation i.e Chatham, Vista Way, Treehouse Villas and The Commons!
Unlike College Program, International Programme people can't extend because of their visa's. :(
The International Cultural Rep Programme - This is a 12 month program, which only participants from EPCOT World Showcase countries can participate. Cultural Reps can only work in the pavillion they represent (something to do with their visa's.) For example UK Cult Reps will either work in the Rose and Crown, the Fish and Chip Shop or in a UK pavillon Shop.
The International College Programme - This is the program I am going out on. This programme covers a number of countries from the UK to Austrialia and Canada to Peru and Singapore. International College Programme roles are literally the same as College program and can be based anywhere in WDW.
There are three strands -
Summer Work Experience - this is for International students who wish to spend their summer holidays working for disney.
J1 Academic Exchange - Again this is for international students however, they spend 6 months to 1 year at Disney, and distance learn with a American university.
Grad Hospitality Management - This is a newish program for graduates of all displines, where international students can study for a postgrad certificate in hospitality management at Rosen College (part of UCF) and worlkat WDW for six months whilst studying.
There are also other programmes which internationals come out on, but i don't know which ones are running at the mo.
Hope this helps!!!
For more info on us internationals check out www.disneyinternationalprograms.com and www.wdwip.com
