Hoping someone can give me some help/ideas.
My youngest son is almost 5 and has a lot of food allergies and feeding issues and must have his limited types food pureed and have a special drink for his meals, etc. Now to complicate matters more there are a total of 6 of us. Kids ages 0 - 9. Do we have any other options for a resort other than a 2-bedroom DVC - which is too pricey (even renting points)? I guess I assume we need something with a microwave and fridge, etc to prepare his special foods, etc. I don't want to stay off-site as we LOVE it on site and prefer to not do that. We love the magic.
Do we have any options that I might be missing?

I agree with Beth.
This thread from the Resort Board has the best information. (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1072409) It includes floor plans and pictures, so you can see just what the rooms are like. You would have a refrigerator and a microwave. You would have to bring along a blender and any utensils you would need to prepare the food.
minnie61650 has done a great job of putting the information about them together. She would probably be able to tell you what sorts of dishes are included. I'm thinking it would probably be mostly disposable dishes provided since that is what you get at a DVC studio which has only a microwave and frig.

I don't think they provide even disposable dishes at the AS suites, but it wouldn't be too much to pack some paper plates, plastic utensils, etc. For the cost, you can't go wrong there.
The FW cabins might also be something to look into.

Thanks to the ideas! The Fort Wilderness is a good option. I can't believe I forgot about it since our favorite resort is the Wilderness Lodge.
I will definitely keep that in mind.

:goodvibes I love the Fort Wilderness Cabins...enough room for all of you!
I also love that you can park right at your cabin, rent golf carts to drive around in (you have the small convienence store nearby if you run out of certain foods) and you have the nice deck, picnic bench, etc.
Hope you find something that you like! :thumbsup2

we stayed at all star music in a standard room for new year. while we were there we sked to haave a look around one of the suites as we have been considering them for taking joe (ASD gf/cf) in a couple of years.
we were very impressed with the suites. they would be fantastic for us, as we don't need a ful kitchen. they come with a microwave and a fridge, in a kitchenette. double bedroom, and sofa bed and single chair bed. 2 bathrooms. they are roomy enough (not huge, but to be honest we don't spend much time in our room at WDW.
hope that helps.
