Can anyone help me understand how the flow of an intimate ceremony goes. We are considering the Yacht Club Gazebo for ours...we'll have the 18 max guests plus us.
I know the package comes with a violinist. Does the violinist play the same song for every wedding or do you get to choose? Does the violinist play for the trek back down the aisle after you exchange vows?
I know I've read someone's trip report that made use of their wedding site by having a first dance there since technically you have use of the site for an hour. Has anyone done this at the gazebo location? Which of course brings to mind, how would you play a song there? BYOBB (bring your own boom box?) LOL! What about if you have a particular song on CD you'd like to march down the aisle to instead of the violin? Is it impossible to do this outside?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer!

the violinist plays for the whole duration of the ceremony and the reception. this includes music for when everyone is getting seated and for the recessional after the ceremony. you can select specific songs if you want. they can play whatever songs you want, normally they play the usual wedding march/songs and a selection of disney songs. they can play anything as long as you provide the sheet music (if its something more obscure). if you ask your WP they may be able to provide a boom box or you could bring your own. you just have to sort this out with your WP before the day. if you have one of the outside locations, your "reception" is at the site of your wedding. so you get the site for at least an hour anyway.

Thanks for the information. I have another question though. Will they let you play a specific song to walk down the isle? We are 'non traditional' so to speak, and I don't want the traditional wedding march, but rather a specific song (with the lyrics). So, can I just have that played on a boom box or something? Thanks!

Yes, you can do this, just let your planner know.
When I asked, I was told that the CD had to be an original CD (due to copyright issues) but other brides have been told differently. Ask your planner and I'm sure they'll give you any necessary information.

so you don't have to have the traditional bridal march, right? I would much rather walk down the "aisle" to a Disney song... I could do that? We are getting married at the yacht club and it is just the 2 of us. I know he wouldn't mind and I wonder if I will even notice what song is playing, but I know I would love to have something Disney!
