How Much of A Price Increase for 2008?

I just spoke to Amy at dftw in order to book an intimate wedding for January 2008. She was able to pencil us in for Sunset Pointe @ 2:30 on the 3rd. However, she said that she would be calling us back after the 'package price' for 2008 comes out. She said that she was not able to tell me how much it would cost until then. She said that she would call and confirm that I still wanted that date, and the wedding at that point. I asked her when that would be, she said last year, it didn't come out until July! In the mean time, she said that I can call her if I had any questions. I asked her if she had any idea what the new package will include or any price changes, but she didn't.

She was very nice, but I kind of feel like I have been left in limbo until july.:confused3

Eek! I really hope you don't have to wait until July, but you're really at their mercy! Well, don't let that stop your planning. I'd go ahead and plan the wedding according to what the 2007 package options are and then go from there. I couldn't see them possibly cutting anything from the packages, but you never know, right?

One thing to be happy about is getting the date you want! Maybe if you want to use an outside photographer like Randy Chapman, this would be a good time to get him booked early. He books up crazy fast.

I'm wanting to book my wedding for January 2008 too! I haven't contacted disney yet, but I really hope I don't have to wait that long!!

I spoke with Disney this week and they are looking to book our custom wedding for January 29, 2008. Asked a pile of pricing questions, including when rate changes occur, and they told me October is the magic month each year. We should find out about Wedding Pavillion on the 31st.

I have heard the same thing. We got written in for Jan 3rd, 2008 at SBP for 2:30:bride: . I honestly can wait a little til we make it official due to not having the full $500, however I don't want to wait that long.

ours is pencilled in for the 28th jan 08, and they havnt said anything about prices, its a custom so we have to spend at least 10k no matetr what.

Yeah I was really wanting to get married at the Poly since it's my favorite resort and that is where he proposed to me, however I have too many guests. We both like SBP and wanted a beachy themed wedding, so it works.
