For once we managed to sleep thru’ instead of waking up at 4.30. Had the continental breakfast in the hotel. Lots of choice for a free brakfast ( 4 types of cereal, fruit juices, toast, bagels, english muffins, danish pastries, muffins and fresh fruit) , just a pity that people abuse it. If you got there later than 8.00 it was if a swarm of locusts had been thru':rotfl2:

Shopping day today  and then MVMCP later. We went to Florida Mall. DD’s favourite store is Macy’s (don't forget if you go to gift wrapping you can get an international visitors card that allows you 11% off goods) which she put to good use as we had promised her some clothes for xmas.

A quick trip around Walmart (ha,ha, for those who have been you will know what I mean ) where we bought our xmas tree that cost us a whopping $9.95 . It did have lights and spare bulbs and a spare fuse. Stocked up on cough and cold remedies.

Early trip to Denny’s to grab some tea and then MVMCP. Thanks to the info on these boards we got in about 4.30. Very quiet so we did the rides we wanted before the official 7pm opening. Watched the show in the Galaxy theatre , bought some pins for DD and got hot chocolate and sugar cookies. As we decided to watch the later parade, we managed to get a bench in Frontierland . Needed to put a fleece on as it got a bit chilly , it was 11pm. In my opinion I would not do the party if I was planning on going into MK on Christmas day as the same parade and shows are repeated .MNSSHP was a much better night.

It’s hard to think of Christmas when its hot outside and even the festive music sounded odd.

A lovely first day. I always like to go to MK first as it is the most magical and then I really know I am 'home'.

Good first day Mandy. I agree with you about needing to be early for the breakfasts we caught a number of people making up 'picnic' lunches. Be glad you left on Christmas Eve, we were there till New Years Day when the hotel was very full and it only got worse :)
