any trouble with National car Rental lately

My future MIL has rented a car from them twice this past month without problems, but not in Orlando. Just wanted to let you know. Wish I could help out with Orlando information.

we had a car for 12 day s over Thanksgiving - no problem. Got a SUV for intermediate price!

Just had a terrible experience- Fri afternoon, 3pm, 11/30, no cars on EA, intermed OR full, only 3 cars on econ aisles. We were 17th in line for a car and ended up with an economy even tho we reserved an intermed. Employees said this is becoming more common since bankruptcy filing and 9/11. Probably won't do EA or National agian- jsut too much hassle!

A friend was in Orlando last week, she flew in Tuesday night. She had a reservation from Dollar, but someone from L & M (next counter over) pulled her aside and told her they could beat Dollar's price. She got a Toyota Carolla for $19.99 a day plus tax (I think her Dollar intermediate reservation was $24.99). So if you have problems with one company, check out what the other companies will offer.
