half days of school

where i live we have 6 half days of school. i get out at 12.00.it is so fun. my sister doesn't get a 1/2 day.it is so cool with her not here all day:) :jester:

we dont get halfdays...my bro does 2 times a year for conferences.

we get half days occasionally for like teacher confrences and stuff, but we go for 5 full days a week, lol.

OK i would be the older sister that doesn't get half days!!
We get out at the end of the year much earlier than them and we have longer schoool breaks. BEcause my school isn't state run we don't have to follow the state's schudule.
Most of the time they have 1/2 days for teachers to meet.

we don't have half days! That's not fair! We did at my elementary school in VA, but here they don't even let us out early if it snows or something. If there's parent teacher conferences we get the whole day off.

Yeah at my school they now have this thing where seniors are allowed to go for half a day if they want to. We have over 3000 people in our school and it gets pretty crowded so they want to decrease the crowds by letting any seniors that want to come in earlier and get out earlier. So I start 0 period and get out 5th period, which is 12:00. A lot of seniors don't do it though, because they think it's too early, but I get up too early already, so it doesn't really make a difference to wake up 45 minutes earlier.

I get a half day every other week because we get out later then all the other schools in my town (we get out at 3:30 while all the other middle schools get out at 2:40)...I have a half day tommorow and we get out at 12 :) My friends usually come over and we have like, mini-parties, lol
