Not used. all iPods are finger sensitive and can catch fingerprints and scratches very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very easily. 240 doesn't get me anywhere. I need to know how many Gigabytes(GB) it has. Then I can tell you.

Thats true, but the second generation iPod Nanos and Shuffles don't catch them as easily.

2g. 1g doesn't hold much. If you have Podcasts, you better get higer than 2g. They eat up all your space and, with a 2g, in less than a month, you're iPod will be done. I recommened a iPod or a new Nano.

Posters on the Budget board have been using this link to buy refurbed iPods directly from Apple.

It's worth a look and probably safer than most other "used" iPods. :)

I have a nano and it works perfectly. You should not get a used one. You can get badly scammed. And 250 songs is pretty good. I wouldnt do podcasts tho. I dont like em. You listen to em and then you never listan again. And they take too much space.

The new iPod nanos are cheaper than an older kind. 150 for a 1gig of the old ones, and 150 for a 2 gig of the new ones. Plus, they come in different colors depending on the gigs you get. 2=silver only 4=red, green, blue, and pink 8=only black

I have an iPod Mini and it's working pretty well, but if your like me and trying to track down new skins for it don't bother with it. Also, a video holds TONS more songs because of the added space for videos. Even if you don't use videos at all on the iPod, you'll still get much more space for the cost.

Another reason to NOT buy used is that iPods hold a lithium ion battery that will decrease power over time. You may end up with an iPod that only has ten minutes worth of battery power, for example. You can get these replaced by Apple, but I believe it will cost you without a warranty.
As far as size goes, make sure you have enough space for the songs you want to put on. For example... I have over 2000 songs, photos, and video on my iPod. A nano wouldn't work for, let alone a shuffle. Leave room for more CDs you may get in the future, too!
I ended up getting a 30G video... it was only $50 more for like 20G more space than a larger Nano.... I feel like that is a much better deal.
