Tinks Twinkle and Tinsel Tour Day 2 – Boma Breakfast and Magic Kingdom 15th December
Cast
Jakki – 44 Loves all things Disney and Christmas
Steve – 50 Joining us a week later – also loves Christmas

Niamh – 8 Can’t wait to see Minnie in her Holiday finery
Friday 15th December
I awoke at 4am despite only going to bed 5 hours earlier. DS woke at the same time but I persuaded him to go back to sleep and we slept on until 7am. We were starving so I unpacked and we got dressed and went to Boma by half 7. We got in straight away and had a lovely breakfast, although DS only ate 4 slices of bacon and a couple of strawberries. I paid with the DDE card and saved $8.60.

We had a quick look at the pool then got the bus to MK. We got there for the opening ceremony and I couldn’t believe how quite it was.

Everything was a walk on the whole time we were there. We did Stitch, Buzz, Space Mountain twice and then got a photo with Stitch. We were all feeling very tired and stopped for a frozen Coke and a bit of people watching. We then watched High School Musical and sang along with all the songs and I suitably embarrassed my kids by doing all the dance moves. As we were so close we had another go on Space Mountain. We walked into Toon Town and did Goofy’s RC and then Mickey’s and Minnie’s houses which were decorated for the holidays.

We also went into the judge’s tent to meet Minnie. We then caught the train to Main Street and DD got a Hot Dog in Casey’s Corner while DS had some fries. We got some M&M’s from the candy store and sat up at the train station eating them and watching the Family Fun Day Parade and listening to Christmas carols.

We left the park at 1:15 and had a 5 minute wait for a bus back to AKL. We went back to the room and changed for the pool and spent the afternoon there. DD played with two girls she met and DS was happy enough diving under the water and using the slide while I chilled. It was warm in the pool but a bit nippy once you got out. At 3pm the lifeguards announced they would be playing Disney Bingo at the kids pool and DS & DD went off to play. They both won a prize and had a great time and want to be at the pool at 3pm every day for the days activity.

We went back to the room at 5pm after getting something to eat from Mara, we were too tired to go out again so we showered and watched some TV before falling asleep at 8pm.
Weather Warm and cloudy we only needed shorts and T-shirts.
