Just wondering if anyone has ever been on a flydrive with Virgin and on arrival in Orlando not taken the car.

Its basically up to you if you want to collect the car or not. As long as you have not paid for the insurance

We've done this several times and will be doing it again this year.

Our only problem was with my travel agent (not Virgin) who seemed determined to make me take the insurance and almost failed to get me my tickets in time.

Since then I've always asked them to put a note on my booking that I do not want to take the insurance.

NO you should be fine.

We did a fly drive with Virgin last year and the booking stated a car but we just didnt pick it up.

Just back 3 weeks ago after a virgin fly drive and we did not take the car! We found it cheaper to arrange a rental car ourselves.

Yes, just returned and did just this. No problems at all. Saved several hundred pounds by doing so as well!

I thought VH had a bit in their T&Cs that stated they didn't do flight only hols so you had to take the car.

From the replies above it seems that's not the case and I'll have to look at this myself when I book later this year for 2008 !

If you book on the phone or with an agent, they will try to tell you that, but if you do it online, there is no way they can add on any charge for NOT taking the car.
