Met him on a log down in degobai asked him his name and in a raspy voice he said Yoda... Y-O-D-A yoda....
I also really like Amish Paraidise and the song from he did on Nirvana...
I have been a Wierd al Fan for Decades.
There used to be a radio show on around here called Doctor Demento and he would play a bunch of parody's artists..
Fish Heads fish heads rolly polly fish heads, fish heads fish heads eat them up yum!
Or how about Kinko Kinko the kid loving clown....
I have over 20 parody songs downloaded from Itunes... mostly Weird Al, but some other's too.

I've heard his music which is pretty good. I didn't like as much his parody of Amish Paradise (it was funny, mind you) but that could be cause I like Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise.

I just want to clarify that your songs were bought and then downloaded. :thumbsup2 Just don't want other people to think that iTunes is a bittorrent service or something. I'm a major fan of iTunes and want it to continue to be a successful legal place to purchase songs (that's all).

Weird Al rocks!:rockband: My favorite song would probably have to be "Smells Like Nirvana" or "Amish Paradise". A few other of my favorites are probably "Albequrque", "Eat It","Barney's on Fire", or even the theme song to his show. What's so neat about him is that he can make any song his own, no matter the genere of the original. I also like the fact that you can memorize any of his songs in about a week. :rolleyes1

Just Curious... Since White and Nerdy is a song title would it still be considered a racist comment? Because if it is ill remove it from my post

Well, at the very end of Don't Download This Song, if you turn the volume way up and listen to the very end you hear the line, "You cheap b*****d!" :confused3 I thought that was out of line, but it is at the very, very end of the song when most people have stopped listening and in extremely low volume. I didn't hear it for the longest time, then I had it blaring in my ears one day and heard it.

I've loved Weird Al for as long as I can remember. I've heard all his songs (though I think a least one person in this thread is attributing songs he didn't do to him. I used to have them all on CD but my brother took them when he moved out.
My favorites are probably the ones about movies, like Spiderman, Gump, and The Saga Begins. But Amish Paradise was pretty great too. Also some of his love songs are good, like "One More Minute" (might not be great for some kids, though I had it memorized at age 9 :confused3).

It's very clearly his voice and I'd say there's a 99.999999% chance it was on purpose. Some of his other songs have been pretty bad. Like the unedited version of The Night Santa Went Crazy (even the edited one was pretty bad), I Remember Larry was sort of gruesome, Why Does This Always Happen to Me is more gruesome.
As far as cursing... he doesn't do it all that much. But there were some "dirty" (only if you knew what they meant/where they were from) in the polka on his latest album. My four year old daughter started singing along so we had to stop her from listening to that song.

I LOVE that song! Also "You Don't Love Me Anymore". Hilarious! :rotfl:

I haven't heard most of those. I heard "The Night Santa Went Crazy" once, but I hated it and haven't heard it since. I really didn't like "Close But No Cigar". What was he thinking? I couldn't even listen to half of it. :confused3

Also, what I don't get is that so many young kids LOVE White and Nerdy, but they can't even tell me what half of the things Al refers to in the song are! :lmao:
Me: "Al says in the song, 'Got skills, I'm a champion at D&D'. What is D&D?"
Kids: -blank stare-
Me: "Okay, how about an easy one. What's the significance of Earl Grey Tea?"
Kids: -blank stare-
Me: "What's Minesweeper?"
Kids: "I don't know that... but he got his name on his underwear!" -snicker, giggle, snicker-
Me: -sigh-

Since I know all the things he is refering too, does that make me a Nerd too???
I will also admit to playing in a 3 year long D&D game back when it was all pencil and paper....

D&D=Dungeons and Dragons if you guys are wondering. I like Eat it. Best song ever, because my dad was a huge MJ fan (back when he didn't have all that plastic surgery and the "incidents") and especially liked Beat It. He couldn't stop laughing.

Yep. :thumbsup2 Unless you don't want to be a nerd...
I know almost everything he's referring to and I'm only 18, lol! In fact, I know more about the "nerdy" stuff in the song than I do about the little bit of "gangster" stuff! :teeth: Am I nerdy? Well, I prefer "geek"...
