Where can I buy girls' shorts this time of year?

We leave two weeks tomorrow and I had the kids try on their summer stuff today. Thanks to Disneyshopping.com, we are set for shirts. BUT ... all of our shorts are too small!!! I went to the mall today, but can't find any shorts yet! I am just looking for 2-3 pairs of shorts - maybe denim and khaki colored. Good chance we won't need them, but just in case. Suggestions appreciated (besides ebay ... don't know if there is enough time for that)! Thanks a bunch!

You could try Land's End Overstocks or maybe The Children's Place or Old Navy will still have some on-line.

online shopping would be my only suggestion unless you wait until you get to central FL and hit a store or two before you get to Disney. :confused3

I know it is cutting it close, but ususally stores start putting out some "cruisewear" about the 3rd week in Jan. We went on a cruise the last week in Jan. last year and right before we left, I was able to find some shorts (very limited)for my kids at Target, Gap (kids). I just ordered swimwear from Land's End for my kids online yesterday for the last week in Jan. for this year. I'm sure you don't want to spend a lot of time searching, but if you go several places, you probably will be able to find something...(try Old Navy as well?)

Target had girls capris and skorts out. I didn't look at shorts but they might have them. Don't know about the boys section. Also try a sporting goods place that has camping, hiking & sports clothes they generally have shorts all year round.

Yep, our Target here has had their skorts out for a couple weeks and the other day I saw shorts too. That would be the perfect place otherwise, I would try some outlets if there are any near you or borrow some from a friend if you can.

I just purchased a swimsuit at Old Navy for my DD....they had just begun putting out their summer merchandise.

We go to WDW every May.
Every April I go to Sports Authority & get DD12 black shorts...they've got them, & pretty cheap too. They also have other colors...I'm sure about red & blue. I think they have them year-round.

The whole family wears matching outfits everyday of our trip (Disney t-shirts & black shorts) & every spring Sports Authority is the only place I can find solid black shorts for DD12.

I was just in Boscov's yesterday and they had their spring clothes including shorts and bathing suits out. I was in the girls children section.

You could buy some of those pants that zip into shorts. I see them all around.

Thanks so much for your help! I never even thought to try Target - will try to go tonight. I was thinking mall clothes, so I tried Gap, Gymboree, etc. - found some knit shorts at Gymboree, but really wasn't what I was after. Never would have thought of a sporting goods store either - we have a large one near us, so I might stop there as well. Thanks again for the suggestions!!!

Do you have an outlet mall near you? I was at a Prime Outlet this week and found tons of summer things at the Children's Place at really great prices, too.

I was just a Kohls yesterday and saw that they have shorts out already. The knit shorts for kids are only $12 for 2. Hope this helps

Friday night at work (Kohls) we put out a ton of summer clothes and bathing suits. Very cute stuff, you could try there.

I wouldn't really worry too much about the shorts. We have gone twice in Jan. and have never needed them - I dressed my girls in capris and light sweaters that we layered with short sleeve shirts and they were fine with that. Last year, we only used our swimsuits once because it was so chilly, but DD4 was dying to swim.

We are going Feb 3 and I might pack one pair of shorts per child but will mainly pack capris and knit pants. :)

I was going to suggest Gymboree because ours had a ton of shorts on clearance just the other day. Also, The Children's place had just put out their spring line with skorts, skirts, capris, not sure about shorts. You should have more luck further in the week as more stores get their stuff out.

I was at the mall yesterday and the Gap had some really cute shorts. Old Navy has lots of lightweight capris on bargain - I find they work well for a winter FL vacation.
