Which of these do you prefer and why? We own at BCV but they are totally booked for our next trip. We did get into the WLV and have not stayed there before.

I have stayed at both and althought hey are very different I liked them both and would be thrilled to stay at either one of them. BCV gives me more of a summer feel, VWL more of a winter sitting by the fire feel. BCV is close to Epcot and MGM and the Boardwalk and that's nice, VWL is a boatride to Magic Kingdom and we loved that.

I can't imagine not be happy at either of them although if I had to choose between the 2 I would probably pick VWL.

Good Luck

We own at both. I was the one who insisted that we get VWL points. My husband was the one who insisted on BCV points. But, now, he is the one who would rather stay at VWL. It even more quiet than BCV. He also thinks that it has worn better (a year older than BVC) and thinks that BCV is showing the wear badly.

VWL is small, compact, but the rooms are extra nice with the woodsy decor. We love the lobby (where the Christmas tree stands for the villas) and the Iron Spike Room (my husband and son spent a few hours down there in November on our trip playing checkers and chess.

This all said, guess where we are staying in June? BCV one bedroom.

When are you going? VWL is my favorite, but I like a night or two at BCV during swimming weather...for me, anywhere from April through October.

VWL is a pretty cool place... if you have never stayed there, then you should for just that reason. Never know when you'll find a new home.

BCV is our favorite, but VWL is our second-favorite. The theming of the resort is amazing!!! It gets a little too quiet for us at night (except for Roaring forks!!), but it is still a WONDERFUL resort!!

Oh, this is good to hear! We also are booked the last week in March at VWL. We have never stayed there before and are excited. I know it's cool....but I don't know why yet!! I am happy to hear anything about it!:listen:

VWL is a nice resort and the only resort besides BCV that I would consider buying at.

We have a short stay in March at VWL, after VB. If the weather isn't too hot we'll rent bikes to go around the campground. That trail over to Ft. Wilderness is the nicest one that we know of to ride bikes on at WDW.

Thanks for all your replies. We are going Feb 25 to March 2. I made the reservations right before Thanksgiving. I know that with 2 little girls we will be spending alot of time in the Magic Kingdom. Since there are a total of 9 of us, 7 in the 2 bedroom villa and the other 2 in a studio, we will not have a car. Most of our meals are in Epcot, how much of a hassle is it to get there? Our two home resorts are BCV and BWV and we have not stayed anywhere else since 1998. I love the location, being so close to MGM and Epcot. How is the bus transportation at the WVL? Thanks.

I'll be staying at the BCV in April and hopefully in Nov. I really like the proximity to EpCot/Canada and my "men in skirts"! These are solo trips.

When Im in WDW this Aug w/DS we're staying at the VWL. I asked DS about missing SAB and he said he likes VWL better. Our "home" is VWL.

Although we own at BWV, we really like WLV and are heading there in Late March. I did a father/son trip with DS (11) at WLV in July and we both had a great time. Heads up to Patty 3, I think the main pool at WL is closed for rehab until March 2,.

You can always hop the boat to the CR and get the monorail there.

No hassle at all to get to Epcot. Easiest way is the bus, which (if they don't change routes) will stop by FW on the way there. Not a problem as it's not out of the way on that route.

We found bus service at VWL to be very good. Others have had some issues. I think at every resort there are some people who will have good or poor Disney transportation issues.

I think the fairest thing to say is that we've found VWL bus service to be as good as any other resorts we've stayed at. The only time we use our car is if we are going to DTD or to another resort from VWL.
