How busy Jan 3-6? Updated

Hey all, I've not been around in a while - just busy at work and such. We are considering a trip Jan 3-6, 2002. Any thoughts as to how busy it may be? This is Thursday-Sunday, after the First of the year, a lot of schools are probably back in session. Any thoughts are welcomed.

Will Ca. schools be started up again from X-mas break? Our schools (in Ok.) will be out until Jan. 7th. I think the dates of school breaks will have a big impact on crowds!:confused:

Our DS's school in N. CA as well as my district doesn't go back until the 7th. Most of the year round schools here are back by the 3rd.

My school starts again Jan. 8. (Monday Jan. 7 is a teacher only day.) I am thinking both DL and WDW will be more crowded than normal. I will be in WDW during this time, but many teenagers at my high school (about 15. min from DL) have annual passes and are planning on going sometime that week. (They are already talking about it - it seems it will be the only time people do not have lots of homework to keep them home.)

We just got back from DL, things were busier then we thought on Thurs/Fri but very slow on Sat. I caught a glimps of the daily info sheet at the BB which said anticipated attendance at 50k for Friday, the lines we're manageable. We spent much of Saturday at DCA and loved the walk on lines, we hit DL that evening and found the same to be true though a bit busier. One of the big factors I hadn't thought about was the Rose Bowl - a lot of people were around for the game, and a lot of DW's and kids at DL on the day of the game. All in all it wasn't bad, since most everything was open I won't complain.
