Looking to start getting a list together for best bang for your buck when using counter service.

We thought.

1. Starlight Cafe at MK....half chicken and rack of ribs, mashed, and carrots
2. Wolfgang Puck Express...Downtown Disney....Everything....outstanding spot to use your counter service.

Please add your lists

You got 1/2 a chicken and a rack as 1 CS? I thought it would have been 1/4 chicken and 1/2 rack, and still a DEAL at that:woohoo:

Wow! I'm glad you posted this! I thought I'd be eating burgers and fries for my CS credits. Glad to hear there is so many more yummy offerings! This will be the first vacation that I'm looking forward to eating!

All of them are included, Sunshine Seasons, Morroco and Cosmic Ray's all are great values (you can easily share one between two people at Cosmic Ray's and Morroco, Sunshine season is possible, but it is more of a value due to the desert that you can get.)
Also if staying in All Star Music (or are visiting) you can get a hand made ice cream sandwhich as your desert (normally $5.25).

Dumb question, but what is CSR? The steak sounds like a great use of a CS Meal.

CSR = Coronado Springs Resort. That's really only a good deal if you're staying there. (A long way to travel just for a good CS deal if not!)

OH wow!! Just seeing this makes me think we will choose one of the 2TS options during our trip and use a CS for dinner another night. (Now the tough part is deciding which one.) Why not with choices like this?

I cannot remember where I read this but I believe that they took the ribs and chicken combo off either the menu or ddp option.......

Tangerine Cafe for sure - but I can never manage to get out of NOT eating there....

Note to UK visitors, according to Mr. Brit..the lamb wrap is as close as you're going to get to a kebab in the US. This would be why I'm always escorting Mr. Brit and his British US living friends there after a pint.

there is so much to pick from. You will definitely love sunshine seasons they have everything but a burger. You almost have to want a burger and fries to get one. Sci Fi for lunch although it is a TS is a great burger and beaches and cream at the yacht club is great. They have nearly anything you might want at WDW.

Thanks for all the posts - I am getting some great ideas for our July trip. I made all of our ADR's yesterday and really haven't thought much about the CSs. I kinda thought we would go with the flow and just pick one that was in the area of where we are at. I might copy everyone's suggestions into a document that I can carry with me. THANKS!!!:cool1:

I hear Tusker House in AK is good...I have not gone there. They were closed for a private party when we were there in Dec.

I think the Chicken/Ribs was off the menu one night during MVMCP and returned the next day for lunch.

We really like CSR's Peper Market, we've done lunch there twice on DDP. It's a great value. We like to get the Sampler at the Wok Station, Chocolate Crossaints and I get a Smoothie. Our total runs about $25.00 pp before the 10% that's included with the CS credit.

The most bang for your buck meant two things for us last Aug when we had free dining....being stuffed or sharing! You could get sooooo much food at times, it was unreal to us! If we were a fam with kiddos and would've stayed for a longer time, we could've shared and maximized most credits. We were only there for just over 3 days and have never seen sooooo much food!

Cosmic Rays - 1/2 Rib 1/2 Chicken platter, large pop, dessert - :crazy2: This was already mentioned but man o man, could EASILY share this one! I get it thinking, heck, we're on free dining and I'd never buy it OOP. It was very good but I didn't want to eat the rest of the day and I barely put a dent in it! Looking at the menu and being there before, Flame Tree BBQ in AK has the same platter option and you could maximize your credits there too.

Wolfganag Puck's Sit-Down DTD - We actually never ate here. We cancelled our ADR that morning because looking at our schedule and what credits we had left, we knew we would be over stuffed eating there. We choose to squeeze in 'Ohana's b-fast on our last morning instead. But we had our menu all planned out to eat at WPs and the total per person would've been over $50 each. We might try this place on our March trip if we do DDP.

For us the DP works well for CS meals because I bring my own b-fast bars and drink coffee from our mug (no resuable mug debates please, I confess I'm a reuser, even though DH usually always buys a new mug each trip). DH loves a good b-fast so he can use what would've been my b-fast credits for lunch along with having a hearty eggs/omelet/waffle type b-fast each day. Everyone is happy. Also, because we're already getting enough food at the meals, we use our snack credits for beverages or share a sundae when temptation calls.

We like to use our snack credit for a box of doughnuts to share for breakfast.

I read on a CSR thread that pepper Market may no longer be on the DDP??? Anyone know if this is true???
