Tuesday, 11/27, Day 5:

Tuesday morning we had breakfast in our room and then went to the bus stop. We were headed to Animal Kingdom. Once again, we had to wait quite a while for the bus, so we had to adjust our schedule a bit. As soon as we arrived at AK, we headed straight for “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” – we love that show! After the show, we headed back to the
“Festival of the Lion King” – another great show! We then went and got FPs for the Safari ride and had time to have lunch at Tusker House. I was so looking forward to the Peanut crusted chicken – turns out they only serve it on Saturday!!! Is that the way it’s always been? I was so disappointed, but I did enjoy what I had.

After lunch, we used our FPs for the Safari ride, then headed over to Conservation Station. We didn’t stay very long because we still wanted to visit Dino Land before the parade. The kids loved the TriceraTop Spin ride – they rode it a bunch of times since there wasn’t much of a line. It gave me some time to look through the gift shops. DH and DS went on Dinosaur. DS came out of that ride insisting that I HAD to go on it with him.

We caught the 3:00 Tarzan Rocks show. I enjoyed the show, but the kids were disappointed that it didn’t have much of Tarzan or Jane in it. By the time the show ended, it was time to get a spot for the parade. We sat down and saved a spot while DH went to get FPs for me to go to the Dinosaur attraction with DS.

The parade was good, but not one of my favorites. Once the parade ended, DS and I headed for Dinosaur while DH and DDs went to TriceraTop Spin again.

We headed over to AKLodge for dinner at Boma’s. This resort is absolutely beautiful – it reminded me a lot of WL. We walked out and viewed the animals both before and after our dinner.

Sounds like another great day! How did you like Boma's? We're considering eating either there or Jikos.

Sounds like a great day. What kind of ride is TriceraTop Spin?? Is it a Dumbo-like ride or is it something else?

Yes, TriceraTop Spin is like Dumbo and the new Aladdin ride in MK.

I'll post more about Boma's in my restaurant report, but in short it was high quality food and excellent service. My DH and I didn't care for many of the selections, but that was just our personal taste. The desserts were wonderful!

I've always wanted to try that peanut crusted chicken, I'm glad to be warned that they only serve it on Saturday.

Thanks for posting this, it was fun to read.
