When we were all at Mass on Sunday Marsha (Mac-key Mouse) did not feel well. She had chest pains and was taken to the hospital.

She is ok....She did NOT have a heart attack. She suffers from reflux and has a hieatal hernia, which probably caused the problem. They also say it could have been a spasm of her esphogus, and the nitro would have made that better too. She does need to have more tests.

She had the folllowing tests done
EKG normal
all 3 enzyme test normal
echo card normal
One other one (sorry I missed it) fine.

She did check herself out of the hospital, and did not take the stress test.

She called from her one room suite Villa on the end of Captiva and says she is in heaven. She can hear the ocean and smell it! She sends everyone hugs, and tells you all not to worry!

She will follow up with her doctor when she gets home on Dec 7th late at night, but she said she will come here as soon as she comes in the door!

Oh Glo, I had no idea she was ill. Please send her some PD for me. I'm glad to hear she's happy and finally relaxing in Captiva. You all should be ashamed of yourselves, forcing that honest woman to go out until the wee hours every night;)

That's good to hear. Where is she staying on Sanibel? Since I live an hour away, I can knock on her door and say, "Landshark." :)

Thanks for the update Glo. I'm relieved that Marsha is feeling better. Stay well Marsha. Try to relax. I know that the stress of DIScon must have been a bit overwhelming at times. And lots of emotions too. It was good seeing you again. I look forward to our next meeting whenever and where ever that might be.

Thanks for the info, Glo. I did not know she was ill. Sounds like some R & R in the sun on Captiva is just what she needs after all the wonderful chaos (and not so wondreful stress) that was DIS-CON! I'm so glad to hear that all her tests were OK. Please keep us updated here. :D

Sending lots of recovery pixie dust your way, Marsha!

Glo, Thank you for this update. I was soooooo scared for her when I first heard. I am very happy to hear that she is on the mend. :)

Give her {{{hugs}}} for me and tell her that I am wishing happy, healthy thoughts for her.

Sending some ~*~pixie dust~*~ too. :)

 Hi Marsha. Love ya! :)

BTW, I just have to say this.....the 'coconut wireless' was hard at work on Monday. Linda ran into a number of DIS'ers and gave each and every one of us the latest update (at that time)...and I am proud to report that every DIS'er that I ran into that day/evening gave me the same exact report! :) Nothing was lost as the news traveled the 'coconut wireless' ;) We have a strong sense of family here on The DIS....it was just as if family members were calling eachother to report on a loved one. I am very, very impressed. :)

How true Tia....It is great to see how many people have cared and asked about her. You are right just like a family. Everyone showing that in time of crisis we band together. I have not talked to her, and do not intend on talking to her until probably Sat. morning, when I will be in WDW and she will be home.... I think that she should have as much peace and quiet as possible.... She can get bombarded with us when she gets home...I am sure she will have enough ecards and emails to keep her busy for a long time!!!!

The DIS really is an awesome place..... :) :) :)

Glad to hear she's ok, I know how it feels, I drove myself to the doctors once 90 miles an hour in sheer pain because of my insurance and it turned out to be the same thing. Thanks glo for letting us know.

Well, Barb and everyone else....this was a pretty good group of people. It is awesome how everyone really pulled together here in a time of crisis. I know that I depended on a DISer to keep me together... We made some great friends down there, and friendships that were already formed became stronger....Barb, you are one cool cat! So glad I met you !!!!! Hugs Tia...we had similar tastes in ....well you know....lol ;)
