We just got our Outback last week, and are anxiously waiting on our first camping trip in it. That location TBD, but we are planning our first trip to FW in September/October (seems like too long to wait!).

We've enjoyed reading all the posts here, and because of this site, we took the plunge in getting the RV (FW site unseen) and look forward to many vacations camping at DW.

Now for a question...
Can anyone recommend a specific loop or site for a family of 4 without pets, travelling with a golf cart? We would need full hook-up (not necessarily preferred). We would like quiet, but not too far from everything (although the golf cart will come in handy). I guess we just don't know where to begin in making our reservation. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Congrats on the new camper! How exciting! You guys sound like our kind of people (haha)...you like camping and Disney!

I like loop 400. It is preferred and close to everything, but the sites are also easy to back into and seem more spacious.

We scored reservations for the first week of April! We stayed at Pop in December and once again got bit by the bug to go back SOON! We're paying peek rates for camping, but who cares...we're at Disney for Spring Break! :yay:

Best of luck with the new camper and congrats again!

Ditto recommending loop 400.

I'd also recommend getting the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World." The 2007 version has a map of the campground and good information about the amenities of the different loops (pp. 180-185)

Another great resource for anyone with an rv is the Open Roads forum on rv.net. Just go to www.rv.net/forum and scroll down to "campgrounds, resorts and attractions" and then do a search on Disney. Or just peruse the boards that are of interest to you. It's a great resource for technical issues, and I very rarely book a destination without checking to see what others have posted about my choice.

Good luck and welcome to the world of RVing!:thumbsup2

Welcome to RVing. We just got our RV back in August. We did 4 small trips close to home before our first big trip in December to Fort Wilderness. We had a blast. We loved it. So much we are going back again this year around the same time. It is just DH & me.
I am not sure about a site such it was our first time. We were in Loop 1400 and really liked it there. I thought it was a nice location and have requested same site. It was a preferred site.
Have fun RVing.
