Hey everyone! My husband and I are going to WDW in Oct to celebrate our anniversary (we are even doing a VR!!!) We are going with another couple also celebrating there anniversary (it is going to be soo much fun) I was wondering where you guys suggest going for our anniversary dinner. We are both young couples and so we want romantic but not borning.
Thanks!

I've heard wonderful things about Victoria and Alberts :bride: :groom: Happy Anniversary and enjoy wherever you decide to dine! :cloud9:

We are having our official anniversary dinner at V & A's. But I've also heard California Grill can be very nice especially if you are there for the fireworks.

Hi,

>we want romantic but not borning.<

Victoria and Albert's in the Grand Floridian is a great choice for a romantic dinner. So is the California Grill on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort, or Artist's Point off the second floor lobby of Wilderness Lodge.

None of those restaurants has a birthing room, so they're not "borning" lol!

Here is a link to our most recent V&A's trip. We sat in the main dining room & ordered the Chef's Table menu:

Hi! We also struggled with where to eat for our anniversary dinner. We finally settled on California Grill. We have been married for 31 years and both of us turned 50 this year. Lots to celebrate.

DH and I  Jiko's, but I posted a thread asking about Victoria & Albert's since I may choose to dine there next month. The overwhelming response to my post was a big thumb's up on V&A for what it's worth.

P.S. Last year, DH and I went down with another couple, and we had fun and memorable dinners at Flying Fish and Yachtsman Steakhouse. The other couple did say that Jiko was the best of the three. (We were celebrating my birthday, my friend's DH's birthday as well as the other couples anniversery)

I enjoyed Narcosses's at the Grand Floridian. We were there for the fireworks and they pipe in the music. We enjoyed drinking our coffee, sitting next to each other and watching the fireworks. We had a table with a window but you can also go outside.

Looks like I misspelled it:rolleyes1 It's Narcoossee's. It's at the Grand Floridian. There's a menu at www.allearsnet.com, if you like to check it out.

If anyone goes in the evening, request a window table. You can see the fireworks from MK.

Hub and I had been to the Ca Grill a couple of years ago and it was great! I booked it for he and I to celebrate our anniversary, but I got concerned when I heard about the number of kids there (please, no flames, we were looking for an adult night).
Instead I called GF Private Dining and arranged for a special dinner for the 2 of us. We were by the beach and had a great view of the MK fireworks and heard the parade music. After dinner, we went to the lounge for a quiet after dinner drink...It was very romantic...

That being said, for a more exciting evening you could have a very nice dinner at DTD and then hit a club...Or stick with CA Grill and have drinks at the Outer Rim

Have Fun!

Ok, I have to ask.....
How did you go about booking the private dining room and, of course the biggie, how much does something like that run? It sounds totally romantic and like the perfect answer to my problem. We are looking for a romantic dinner, but none of the menus really appeal to us and if we are going to break the bank for a night out, I might as well be able to enjoy the meal.
TIA Maggie

Last year we ate at the GF and then my future DH took me on a surprise 'cruise' of seven seas lagoon and then we watched the MK wishes fireworks on the water in front of the castle. You can bring snacks and drinks onboard the private boat.

soo romantic... then again its how we got enaged so I'm biased :)

I vote for Jiko. DH and I had one of our dating anniversary dinners there before we were married and it was very lovely. One of the more memorable dinners we've had.

when you check in at the Contemp for dinner at Cali Grill, ask how long the wait would be for a table in the wine room. We did that for DH b-day and it was marvelous! it's off to the side, about 10 tables. Much quieter. No fireworks view but you can always get up and go outside. Waited an extra 15 minutes (in the shops of course ;) ) but it was worth it!
