I just called to try to add one night to my 1/21-1/28 stay and the 20th wasn't available. I thought this was the low season and being that it isn't exactly hot most of January, thought that FW would be pretty empty. Just wondering if anyone knows what gives. Thanks.

The 20th is a Saturday night. Weekend nights at the Fort fill up months in advance year round. Doesn't matter what season. Many Florida locals spend their weekends at Ft. Wilderness.

Ahh, I see. (about the weekends). Wondering what my chances are of a cancellation. I know I got lucky last year when I added a couple of days to my April trip. If not, does anyone know of a close CG nearby for a quick overnight before the 21st. ?? Thanks.

Keep checking, early mornings are best time. If not I have settled for Tropical Palms, near Celebration on 192.

Just checked online and a full hook-up was available. It is 5:15AM though.

Try back 5 days before the date, those who are going to cancel will cancel by then and there could be sites open. I did this last December and not only got the extra days needed but asked if there were any AAA sites and got the entire thing switched over to a AAA rate and added another day with the savings.
Good luck.

Thanks everyone. I was playing around online last night around 1:30 AM and was able to get one more night. So, hoping that this doesn't screw up my reservation. I would call and ask but yesterday it seriously took 45 minutes for the person on the phone to change one of the people on the reservation to another. I just couldn't do it again yesterday. :) Anyway, I am glad though that I got the date and can now go on my way. Hoping now that weather holds out.

Hey, we'll be there the 20th through the 27th! I couldn't get the AAA rate, though. I'll be trying back again 5 days prior.
We've stayed at Tropical Palms and loved it as an RV resort. 1/2 the price of FW, but none of the on-site benefits, of course. But the sites are spacious and well-kept.
Good luck! If you see an Ameri-Camp fifth wheel, stop by and say hi. There aren't many Ameri-Campers out there (yet!)
