I have a preferred pet loop requested for next summer but was wondering, when we walk our dog, are we allowed to walk outside our loop, such as over to the beach, near the playground, pioneer hall, etc? I've never really seen people walking their pets in these areas. Of course, i would carry "pick up" bags just in case, but wasn't even sure if it was allowed. thanks!

You will see a sign at the exit to your loop which says no pets beyond this point. Pets are not allowed outside of the pet loops.

you could take your pets to the self parking lot in front - and walk around that - lots of room. this is where the FW kennel is located and the horse stables. these horses are for you to ride not the ones that appear in the parades or pull the trolley down main street.

We were at FW last April and there was this one guy walking his HUGE dog at least 4 times a day through our loop (which was NOT a pet loop). Now I am a dog owner (actually own 2) but don't bring them down with me. I have no problems with dogs but my son is very afraid of them. Every time he was out scootering or playing by our site, here came the man and dog. I should have said something and didn't but it was not right. I have this big pet peeve with people who think rules are only for other people. (not implying this at all to the OP).

If all pet loop sites are full, FW does have the option to put guests including pets in non-pet loops. I have called The Outpost when I have seen dogs in a loop that was not a pet loop and security has been sent out to take care of the situation. Have seen guests move to a pet loop.

300, 700, 800, I believe 900 now, 1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900 pet loops all have a designated pet walking area outside of the loop.

Yikes, i guess we'll just do a couple loop laps. I certainly wouldn't want the dog police after me and my overly-friendly golden retriever!
Another question, do you pet owners leave your pets in your RV while you're at the parks for the day or do you use the kennels. Just keep wondering if there'd be a power-outage or something, it can get pretty warm in there in the summer.

Most pet loops(not overflow loops)have a walking area behind them.
