I would like to plan a stay of 12-13 nights and get 10-day tickets, so we will have a few relaxing days in between the days at the parks.

However, my husband REALLY wants to get the dining plan again. I called Disney this morning and the CM told me that the DDP can't be for longer than 10 days, and that they would need to be consecutive days.

So, if we stay longer than 10 days, we would need to pay for our meals separately the last few days. Or we could buy a 1-day ticket for all of us, and sort of sign up for it again for the rest of our trip - but 1-day tickets are so outrageous

I would understand this if it were the free plan - I mean, they can do whatever they want when it is free! We had it free in 2005 and just loved it, though we are not counting on it being available again this year. But, if I am buying the DDP, why can't I buy it for the length of my stay?

Anyone know?

The CM is wrong. We have a 12 night package with Dining Plan, 10 day tickets. It did used to be true that packages only ran 10 nights, but it is no longer true with the 2007 packages. Call again and talk to someone else. We used a travel agent, so I have no Disney experiences with this, but I know it's possible.

The only 10 day limit that remains is the limit on the number of days of admission. There is no requirement that the number of days of the Dining Plan equals the number of days of admission.

I think the CM is confused. As long as you buy minimum 1 day park ticket for everyone staying at the hotel you can have DDP for the length of your stay at the Disney hotel - but remember that the days that you dont have tickets for the parks you cant eat in the park restaurants.

Thanks everyone! I feel better :thumbsup2

And yes, jtlover, I will be sure to schedule park restaurants on days that we will be IN the parks!
