It is a Magical day and we are starting the swapping again. (Exactly how many of us swore off this? ;) ). Here are the details:

The due date for this swap is February 28th (that is when I need to receive your package). Please mail packages to me by February 21st. I will be mailing everything I have back to you on or before March 5th. That is a firm date, as I am heading to the World soon after.

The "rules" -
1. Choose a group. There are four to start with. Two are divided into Magic Kingdom Lands and two are generic Magic Kingdom. (I will open a fifth group if there is enough interest). For starters, please limit yourself to two groups, so that everyone interested can swap. If I have extra slots, I will, of course, open them up.
2. Choose two elements for each slot you select – see the list below. Post your choices of elements and topic/land. It will be fine if some of the elements duplicate within a group. For example, in the individual Lands, it will be great if everyone did a topper for their land (but in the general groups this would not make sense). Just think about what you want to receive back as you make your element selections.
3. PM me with your DIS name, name, home address, email address, and phone numbers. Email and phone numbers will only be used to follow up if I have not heard from you.
4. Post your weekly status on the Progress thread - which will be posted after the slots are filled.
You must check in 2 weeks prior to the due date. If I have not heard from you by then I will send you a pm or an email. I WILL ANGEL YOUR SPOT IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU WITHIN TWO DAYS OF THE PM OR EMAIL.
5. Check the progress thread for your status - it will be updated with ship info and received info.
6. Packing Instructions - use a Ziploc for each person and put everything for that person into their bag. Please label each bag with your name so we know who made each element. You‘ll have 5 bags to enclose in the larger (gallon size) Ziploc bag for each group you are in - be sure to include your name, your DIS name and your group number. Include $4.05 for postage (or stamps if you don't want to send cash) to return your items. Delivery Confirmation is $0.50.
Please don’t send metered or click-it/ship-it postage – some hostesses have had issues with these.
7. PM me if you have problems and need to drop out or if an emergency happens (we all know things happen beyond our control sometimes), let me know so we can make arrangements for an angel or other help if needed.
8. There will be 5 people per group. There will be a total of 4 or 5 groups.
9. HAVE FUN!!

Element Selection:
Please, no hand lettering on any items, use computer fonts, rub-ons, stamps, etc.
Embellished means using brads, eyelets, charms, ribbon, 3D stickers (matted stickers are okay too) or embossing.

1 Topper - 8 inches wide, 2 inches high, double matted and embellished
2 Borders – 11 inches long, no more than 3 inches wide, double matted and embellished
2 Photo Mats – 4-1/4 x 6-1/4 paper on top of 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 paper, embellished
2 Photo Frames – sized for 4 x 6 pictures, double matted and embellished
2 Journaling boxes - double matted and embellished, at least a 3 x 4 writing area
2 Tags - double matted and embellished, include either fibers/ribbons or eyelet in the hole, no smaller than 2 x 3, larger if you wish
4 Embellished Squares - double matted and embellished
1 Shaker Box
1 Paper Piecing
1 Matted Song Lyric/Poem, or Quote about the land: Song Lyric/Poem/Quote area must be NO
smaller than 2 ˝ x 3 ˝, double matted and embellished
1 set Box ‘n’ Tag – using above guidelines for each element

The players follow next.

ddavis, the library pocket and tag would be fine. If we could just do journaling boxes, though, that would be great. I know a lot of us use page protectors when we scrap, so the books are not very useful.

Thanks.

Maybe we need to open discussions up again! See, DH.. I really, really, really want to go to DIS to see my friends.. Which they all have DH's that can be your friends..and the kids.. well, they can all hang together.. and uhm, I don't ask for much..between the DIS, Scrapping and taxi-ing our kids everywhere.. the least you can do is support my habit of DIS-ing and Swapping w/ my friends!!! To which his response is.. Anyway, thanks for any help. I want to do that as one element, but might have to change my mind if I can't find the pattern.

I didn't know there was a pattern. I know there are a couple coloring pages of Brer Guys in a Log in one of the WDW coloring books. But they seem a little busy to turn into a PP, although I have seen them on ebay.

I googled, but didn't find anything. But I did find reference to a book that Hot of the Press did back in 2000 called "Mickey and Me in the Magic Kingdom." My other Hot of the Press books have some PP patterns, so I wonder if it could have originally came from there. Does anyone have that book and could check?

I'll try looking today.. I would like to find a nice pattern for a safari hat...

I have an Animal Kingdom coloring book, and so I scanned a picture of Mickey's head, deleted everything but the hat (and sort of filled in the lines where they would need to be)

http://www.geocities.com/hopemax.geo/safarihat.jpg

Does anyone know where I can get the pattern for Mickey and friends in the splash mountain log flume?

I missed the page in the WDW coloring book earlier that was Mickey & Goofy in a log, so I scanned that one in too. It's not as completed as the other Splash ones, but Mickey & Goofy could still be tricky.

http://www.geocities.com/hopemax.geo/splash.jpg

I left them both slightly larger, so you could size them as you like.
