Hi Everyone,
Our family is positive we're going end of April. Should we just book our hotel now and when an AP discount comes up, call up and apply the discount? How has everyone's luck in doing that?
Thanks!!
Yes, that's what you should do. I've done it before and then called and applied a discount code with absolutely no problem.

I'll double that yes.
Watch for codes about two months ahead of time. I would still continue to check the disboard daily though. Usually two months out the AP come out. All you need is the code note the AP membership before hand. Two years ago we booked a package and the AP came out. Booked the AP first then canceled the package.
We checked in early, but the room was not available. At the time my AP was not activated. They told me to just go to the park have it activated and just stop back at the desk later on at check-in.
We also bought the AP Dining Exp. card. We saved 20% on meals. We usually have a sit down meal each night.
Good luck

Thanks for the replies and the ease of mind. I booked today and remembered that I had AAA, so I booked at the AAA rate. The CM actually told me that because I have AP, they occasionally come out with AP only discounts and just to call them up to apply them if they come out. He said it wasn't guaranteed that they come out, but keep checking. It was a very pleasant transaction.

Do you get a AAA rate if you let a Disney CM know that you are a AAA member when you called. I always assumed you had to go thru AAA direct.
Thanks for the info!:cool1:

I got the AAA room only rate. I mentioned that I was a AAA member. He mentioned that I have to show my AAA card at check in to get the rate.

I booked through Disney and they told me we could get any discount that came along after booking. We are staying at the ASM in the family suites. We could not get the freePark hopper/water Park deal because we were not staying in a "standard room"
