There are no kits that are exactly Disney due to licensing issues. You may want to look at these kits by Glenda Ketcham. They are pretty Disney-ish and may help you
out...
http://www.digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=38&sort=20a&page=14
The kits are on pages 14-16.

OP here... Thanks so much for the link. I love the Princess package she has!!!!!
So why hasn't Disney sold their licence to someone for digital images??? You can get tons of traditional scrapbooking Disney items.... It is not to hard to get clip art ect to use for digital pages but is this legal? I have no idea what exactly copywright laws do and when they may be infringed :confused3

Not real sure why Disney hasn't cashed in on the digital scrapbook craze yet. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they do.
As far as clip art being legal... I'm not a specialist in this area, but I believe the main factor is not making a profit from clip art (ie selling it) or using it and calling it your own. You should always give credit to the original creator of the clip art or digital kits that you use.

I do still have more on the way. I'm currently working on papers for the "Mountains" of WDW, plus I have an Aladdin-ish one & one that works for Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. They should be up on my blog within the week, I would think. Hopefully it'll help you a little. :)

Wow....that you sooo much for sharing your wonderful designs... They are really cute!!!! You should think of selling them. I am sure you would do very well, especially since there doesn't seem to be alot of Disney-ish Digital stuff out there. I was so excited when I saw your kits...I love them all but the fairy dust is so awesome.... I am so new to digital scrapbooking. I would have no idea how to create such awesome elements & pages. I look forward to seeing the rest of your designs!!!

I just got the Mountains paper pack up there, and I do have the other set with the Boutique paper almost complete. (I just need some kid-free time to get a contact sheet together & get it uploaded.) I'm hoping to get that up by tonight.

The pages are hidden so that only DIS members will get to them. if anyone here would like to see what I have and download some send me a private message and I will email you the link to the pages. Again, all I ask is that we keep them in the family and not share the links to the world. That's the only cost :thumbsup2

If you go to this site and scroll to the bottom of the page you will find a great Cars kit as well as a few other kits that you could use for WDW.
http://www.digiscrap.ch/freebies.htmlKelly - It looks like you can't download the adorable Cars kit she has. I don't read french but "I think" she got her hand slapped for distributing copyrighted images so the download links for all her character stuff are gone :-( She does have alot of other great stuff on her site though....
Kelly, I also wanted to thank you so much for sharing the pages you have made with all of us. I am going to be sending you a PM for the links!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have compiled a list of all the great links that have been posted on the very 1st post in this thread. I thought that would make it easier for everyone to find all these great items. If you have any more links that you would like added to the list...keep posting them. As they are posted on this thread, I will keep adding them to the first page... Maybe someday this thread will become a sticky!!!!

I tried to download it right after you posted yesterday morning - maybe at 9:45 or 10?? - and it already said she'd pulled the links. :(
BTW - I was driving me nuts trying to find how to download things from another site that was in French and didn't have a "translate to English" option. If you go to http://world.altavista.com/tr and paste the URL of the page you want into the second field there (Translate a Web page) it will show at least most of the text translated.

That's exactly what happened. I copied and pasted the french into a translator and she said she got emails saying that she had violated copyright by using Disney images. This is what the translator said that may or may not be the most accurate translation:
"Following emails received on behalf of people not very sympathetic nerves which menaçent me to make cut my site, I must unfortunately remove the freebies containing images of cartoons, because according to them I pirate Disney and Co by redistributing their images!"
Too bad cause that was an adorable kit!

Pre-made pages and a cars kit!!!
http://stores.ebay.com/Ducky-Media
It never even occured to me to look for digital stuff on ebay. BUT, isn't that a copyright violation? She's profiting from Disney licensed products? :confused3
Another question. They are PNG files. Can the pages be "taken apart" or moved around? Or can you only add pictures & other items to them?
Renysmom
04-15-2007, 09:07 PM
I don't think the cars and pirates violates anything but definitely the kit with the mickey head and mouse papers are a violation. You can't sell anything commercially without a Disney license.

Spalsh - I had never thought to look on e-bay either but since this was posted I did a search of "Disney Digital" and there are several kits listed. I would definately think that some of these kits are definately breaking copyright laws but they certainly are cute!!!
As per .png files, I have no clue what to say about that :confused3 I am still learning how to use my program and save in a few different ways.

As a PNG you can only add pictures and other elements...the layers are merged so they cannot be "taken apart".

I thought you *could* take PNG files apart. It's after when you save them as a JPEG file that they are merged.

As for .png files, some people save them as those files to reduce file size, but it still saves the 'resolution'. It also means the back ground is transparent. I have downloaded lots of .png files that are 'papers' 'ribbons' 'frames' and all are jst fine as individual files. As for the pre-made pages, I call them plopper cause another site I visit does, they are a pre-made page that you can't move elements around, but you just put your pictures in.

If you frequent blogs for freebies you must get bloglines (it is free). It subscribes to blogs you visit and lists whenever there is an update. I have about 50 scrap blogs listed but only visit the ones with updates. Super easy to use, especially if you use firefox because you can add a "subscribe" shortcut on your toolbar.

Not Disney-ish, but they have HUGE mega monthly kits at http://www.digitaldivasdesigns.com/ for free. The old ones were on a freebies page, but I think they removed some of those, the last few months are in the shop. Only "buy" one at a time, there are many parts to DL so they will time out if you get more then one. They are very pretty and I did a DinoRama page with one of their kits too.

I am posting this in both threads.
I ran across a charity kit today that is just gorgeous and HUGE. A designer at Pickleberrypop lost her husband in a tragic farming accident and over 50 designers have come together to create this kit: (this in only part of the kit)
http://renysplace.com/cms/admin/uploaded_images/blogimages/PBPRayofLight_wholepreview.jpg
This entire kit is only $12.15 and is over 750 meg. Here is the blurb about the kit:
Ray of Light is a tribute kit in memory of Ray Fisher, loving husband to one of our very own designers DebF, and father to their 7 children. Ray lost his life in a tragic farming accident which occurred in early May 2007. Please help us support Deb and the children by purchasing this kit. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to this family in need.
The kit is amazing, not to mention HUGE! It is available as Part 1 or Part 2, or you can purchase the whole kit which contains many additional bonuses! Over 50 designers contributed to this kit, which contains:
- over 100 papers (12"x12")
- over 150 elements
- designer discounts booklet
- freebie mini kit which was sent to all May 2007 'Buy DebF' supporters
- 2 alphas + BONUS alpha
- BONUS 2 fonts
- BONUS 8 quick pages
- BONUS 7 layered templates
I just thought I would share as I know all of us would be lost if something like this happened to us. here is the direct link to the shop if you are interested.

Keep an eye out for another kit themed for Disney! One of the designers at SOTB (www.scrapoutsidethebox.com) by the name of Danielle Fenning just finished a Disney themed kit and there are some adorable embellishments in it! It should be in her store in the next couple days.
Here are a couple pages she made with her kit:

i just found this and it is great. I have recently started digital scrapbooking with the Creative Memories Program. I was using Photoshop to make signs and wanted to get into Digital Scrapbooking since it does not make such a mess. I love the new Disney stuff on Photopass, but I wanted something that let me create. All of this stuff is wonderful.
Sandy22 THANK YOU for the Mermaid stuff. We just got off of a Disney Cruise and this is perfect.

I have had to temporarily take my designs off as there appears to be a question about copyright.
I have made loads of disney overlays etc from my own pictures but it seems as if I may be in breach of copyright.
Not sure if anyone can help me with a definitive answer or not.
I am going to post the last one that I made tomorrow morning though - seems a shame not to share it as I have made it.
Lisa0503

I have had to temporarily take my designs off as there appears to be a question about copyright.
Well that explains why I could not find them thru those links.
Here is an excerpt from Wickspedia on copyrights:
Copyright does not prohibit all copying or replication. In the United States, the fair use doctrine, codified by the Copyright Act of 1976 as 17 U.S.C. Section 107, permits some copying and distribution without permission of the copyright holder or payment to same. The statute does not clearly define fair use, but instead gives four non-exclusive factors to consider in a fair use analysis. Those factors are:
the purpose and character of your use
the nature of the copyrighted work
what amount and proportion of the whole work was taken, and
the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
I guess it seems that the issue of copyright is not clear cut. I would think since they are your own photos, then it is your property and since you are not profiting off them, there really is no issue whatsoever. There are many digital items out there which are being sold on public forums such as e-bay which are using Disney clip art ect... Bottom line, you have to do what you feel comfortable with.
I am just sorry I missed them ;-( I am always looking for new digital disney stuff.

resize your image to 600x600 pixels and save for web. In PSP you export as .jpg and in PSE you save for web. Then you will need to upload your picture to someplace like photobucket and then link to the image from here.

I found these great Disney Princess elements online today. I don't do many princess pages, but I had to have them anyway!! Enjoy!

Hi- Do you know if you purchase the CM Disney Digital kit if you can use it with other programs or only the Story Book Creator program?
thanks!!!!
They only work in CM's software, StoryBook Creator Plus. Maybe someday they will come around and make them in a format that works for everyone!

Oh Really!!! that makes me very happy to know! Do you have layouts that you have made with that software that I could see? I scrap the CM way and think I would LOVE their digi stuff but was only hesitant that I couldn't export and upload to shutterfly type places when there was a good sale.....
can you import all of these lovely kits that people post into that software too?
thank you for you info!!!! it is VERY helpful!!!

There are a few SBC+ users including me! You can export to any site and print anyhwere that you can print a picture:) You can also import anything that is a png, jpg, or gif into SBC+. You can't open any Photoshop files in it.
If you get a chance labdogs42 has a link at the bottom of their layouts and they are awesome! I also post mine on the www.flikr.com - Disney digi-scrappers.
If you have any questions on the software - we can help you!

I happen to think these papers
http://bp2.blogger.com/_saZSDxPWgY4/SFLrMz0LRlI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/ib2X1L2MKZw/s320/haynay_FTBS_JumpAddOn_preview_72.jpg
which coordinate with the Digitreats Jump kit are awesome for Playhouse Disney pics and POP century pics (or any other bightly colored Disney venue!). Haynay is actually a new member here on the DIS, maybe we can convince her to make us some more fun Disney-ish stuff!! Here is a link to Haynay's papers (http://haynay.blogspot.com/2008/06/happy-birthday-holly.html) and Digitreats (http://digitreats.typepad.com/creativeteam/).

If I remember right it was a very lovely and free kit with horse drawn carriages and castles and lots of other princessy stuff. I believe the designer was Mandy Rae Designs, but she removed her blog apparently.

Can I tell you how much fun little brag books are? I love them! Yesterday I was doing all of the last minute stuff to get my DH off on a mission trip to S. Africa (he just left... sniff) I thought, oh no... I need to get some pictures in a little book for him to take with him! So, I go to my 6x4 QP folder (mostly random freebies) and plop, plop, plop, upload to CVS.com walk across the street from my office and Wah-lah! A beautiful album! I stuck them in one of those CM Picfolio Minutes albums that can set up like an easel...
So easy...

Oh, Britt, or anyone who's crazy familiar with her stuff...
Which kits of yours are, um which kits do you find to be especially great for Disney LOs? I know they all could work, but ya'll know what I mean...:rotfl2:
ETA: So far I have in the cart: Dreams Do Come True, I'm A Dreamer, Her Royal Highness, Leave the World Behind, ... Basically everything... $72 worth. I think I'm going to have to break it up a bit! lol. What do you guys recommend as the "Starter" of the "kits that would be good for Disney LOS?"
I think I'm going to start with: Lyrical, Dreams Do Come True, Leave the World Behind, and We Can Fly! What do you think?

I use Leave the World Behind a LOT!! Don't forget to pick up Britt's freebies that coordinate with some of these kits on her blog (http://www.*************************.com) I also have my list of favorite Disney kits (mostly Britt's!) on my blog (http://labdogs42-onmymind.blogspot.com)

Thanks! I'll makes sure that I have them all! I had to go buy myself a external hard drive! lol. The freebies are what finally inspired me to get into this and now I HAVE to have those kits! I honestly like buying from someone that I "know." I probably wouldn't if I didn't...
BTW... I LOVE your siggie pic! Didn't you say that you will be in the World at the same time as us? Where are you staying? POP again? I loved your POP LO.

I am constantly going to Leave the World Behind for papers. The papers in that kit are just awesome. I would definately get that one first. I use Shiver Me Timbers a lot too for all my piratey needs (and neutral color paper needs), which are more then one would think, with only boys! I don't have much need for the princess sets, so I didn't get that one. I did get the High School Never Ends and there are so many uses with the doodles and papers, I just avoid the couple pink things in there usually! When I look for bling, I do usually go to Dreams Do Come True, I really like the glitter in there.
I've got a few others, she gave a couple as gifts for challenges here and if you send her LOs with her stuff on them she gives a freebie out for that too... she calls it "show offs" on her blog, so check that out too. And those aren't toss offs, they are regular stuff she's about to put in the store. (usually smaller items tho: alphas, templates, etc). And as Jessica said, Britt has tons of freebies on her blog, usually coordinating with her new releases.
I'm guessing from your sig pic that you have both a princess and a pirate... so just pick stuff that you think you will use first and start building your collection! I just did a 20 page shutterfly and all but 3 pages (maybe 4) are all Britt's stuff and I think they look pretty good. I even cheated with a couple QPs from HSNE!
