Local Parks Face New Challenge

San Diego's game of cat-and-Mickey Mouse for Anaheim's tourist dollars just got rougher than a ride on Space Mountain, as Disney on Thursday will open the doors of its new California Adventure attraction.

The $4 billion theme park is expected to draw nearly 7 million visitors annually, leaving the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau buckling up and hanging on for a roller coaster ride to maintain its share of the tourism market.

Where do they get their numbers? I heard $1.2 billion.

I read that the expansion (GC, DCA, DD, Parking structure cost around 1.2 billion, but the improvements to roads, hotels, and surrounding infrastructure that State, County, and City gov'ts are doing cost around 7 billion...

Flamingoes get their pink coloration from the shrimp that they eat. Shrimp are pink because, of course, they eat flamingoes.

I work at Disneyland. Our nextdoor neighbor cost around 2 billion.

I read that the cost was $1.4 billion. Maybe they forgot the one in front of the four.
