Price increases for 2008 Disney Marathon, Half and Goofy

2008 Price increases:

Half marathon $95,
Full marathon $105, &
Goofy Challenge $225

Also, talk about a secret 15th Anniversary medal for next year, wonder what it will be like!

I imagine the Monday after race weekend, registration will be open and it will be available on the website.

My personal opinion is that Disney is in it for the money (proven by the split race days to recruit more entrants and not ease up on congestion)....so I do not doubt that.

But a bummer...it is one of the more expensive marathons out there supposedly.

I just looked at the site earlier. It says registration opens January 8th.

I thought it was more $ than this year, but didn't take the time to remember or look up what I paid for this one.

I was thinking about the Goofy but I can't put down the extra $25 for one more medal just out of principal. I would not mind paying the regular price for both but a $25 medal, I can't do. Oh well.

Does anyone know how quickly the Goofy race usually fills up? I want to sign up but won't be able to until I get home on the 10th, so I hope that's still early enough.

I just checked and I signed up for Goofy on June 8th and I think it closed a few days later.
