My DH thinks your random turkey pic is just way cool...Your mantle and tree look great!

Poor butt ugly tree! At our last house, we had planted out first Christmas tree together in the front yard. DH kept it trimmed and so cute, and every year we had the little white lights on it. Imagine my shock when I drove by one day and saw that the new people had cut all the lower branches off and so it was just a top, on a stick. Looked like a pine lollypop. I wanted to cry! Can't figure out why some people think they are landscape artists, and all they do is ruin things!:confused3

Your house looks great! I love the pics of the ornaments on the tree! We didn't get our outside decorated at all this year--I was late getting the inside decorations up. I have told DH that that WILL NOT happen in 2007! Decorations must go up early!!

Great pics, Buffy!! :santa:

Poor tree!!! I hate when people do that.

As for the turkey's that's not even all of them. Those were tho ones I could get in the frame. At our old house we had 56 one year, this time there were more. I have pics when they were babies but they are on the old computer. I really need to get around to pulling the hard drive.

Hey, I think you are missing a few turkey(s) .. We have had wild turkeys running amuck in our little town.. One got caught in the fenced in Playscape for the kids and they called the police..it took 6 of them to get him out of there so the kids could go play! LOL

He did at my house growing up in Santa paper, but not in DH's. :confused3
We just tell the kids that Santa does things differently depending on the families request. It flies for now. LOL

It's funny, but I just had that conversation today with DS6. He was wondering how we knew whose gifts were whose under the tree. Yike! They were wrapped (in Mickey paper of course), but no tags. I didn't want my writing recognized. I told him something similar - I wrote a letter and told him your favorite color. It worked for now. :goodvibes

Of course, now he is asking about the tooth fairy! :) Will he get lots of money like the kids in his class. (Sorry buddy, but the tooth fairy isn't that rich... is probably not the right answer). She will be giving out coins from foreign countries or books or something. He was very excited about the coins. Good thing we've got one lose tooth! :cutie:

The pictures are great. It's fun to see the houses from up North, they look so different, especially in Winter. Thanks for sharing!:goodvibes

Yeah apparently the tooth fairy left 1 girl in DS6's class $25.00 Too rich for my blood. DS10 lost a tooth this week, he got $2.

The tooth fair to visits my house is poor too... 25.00 for a tooth.. was it gold? Nope, our kids have always gotten 2.00.. We actually have 2 lose teeth in DS10's mouth.. The dentist said DS6 should start losing in the next 3 months or so..they were beginning to losen up..

As for Santa wrapping/not wrapping.. DH came from No wrap from Santa.. I came from wrap.. So, we compromised.. every other year.. This year was my year..and Santa uses only solid paper.. that way I can have all the decorated paper... I also have my neighbor across the street write the tags for me.. She is an elderly lady so it has them snowed w/ the little, shaky writing..and she gets a kick out of it since her kids are all grown and moved away! DS6 just asked the other day how Santa could get everyone taken care of in one night.. so I tried explaining the time zones..and that he can swing it..but he goes on vacation to a warm climate and rests for 2 weeks afterwards.. Than I followed it up with DDavis's advice.. Only Santa leaves presents for those who believe!! He ran off yelling.. I believe, I believe.. to which big sis reminds him it's still 360 days til Christmas again!

My parents wrapped all of our gifts but instead of writing out names they diecut our first initials for our packages. We also each had a wrapping paper just for our gifts so as soon as we lean\rned whose paper was whose we knew which gifts were ours.

I love the idea of one person having the same paper... that would help tremendously w/ 5 kids!!! Great idea for next year..because I'm out of paper.. Well, shoot..next year is DH's turn.. :confused3
