Yea I was watching ANderson Cooper and he said their reporting that he was hung. And everyone is waving the flags and celebrating. He also said their looking to show pics and videos. Now I really don't want to see a person be hung. But on the other hand I kind of want to. Shure enough someone recorded it and took pics and within the next day of he was hung today were going to see pics and videos.

But he did deserve to killed. He has done so many horrible things.

Good God, man! lol -- tear not just a statue down...but the deceased body, too! Talk about sci-fi...actually, I take that back...what's really sci-fi is all the torturous acts you people are planning out! LOL Knock him off a new world trade center -- stick him in NYC to have people hit him and other such things! heh -- wow. I'd hate to have any of you guys really angry at me! I wouldn't want know the death fantasies some of you would have! lol.

Naturally, I couldn't watch the death of anyone and I'm not gonna lie, I never really understood what he did other than what friends and family say about him. From what I hear -- the man deserved it.

A hanging though...you don't hear about those everyday. It is usually injection. In fact, you don't really hear about any other types of execution that often at all. I bet most of you didn't know that the gas chamber is available as well as the firing squad. Yup, both are still legal in some states.

I'm not afraid of death, but I can imagine being imprisoned for life. I mean, Saddam showed no remorse this morning when he was being hanged, he did not apologise for what he did. He merely sad 'God is great' and something about Islam being the new Arab or something like that.

If you want to find it (though I know you don't ;) ) you basically type in:

Yahoo Saddam Hung Video Does Anyone Have It

and it wil send you to a thread on the Yahoo boards, where they have links to the actual video (go to page 2 & 3)

I'm still debating if I should watch it or not. I have a weak stomach and the thought of "seeing" someone die is enough to run chills throughout my body.

I know what you mean. When I was watching it I was kind of like.. God no.. don't.. and then the floor comes out from underneath him and you hear banging and perhaps his neck cracking. It's awful, you see him standing there, and he looks very dignified, but you really wonder 'How can he stand there, silently waiting for death? Why isn't he putting a struggle up?'
Saddam was an evil cruel dictator, and perhaps, he felt as though he would be surrendering to defeat if he put up a struggle. Like, if he put up a struggle, they would know he's afraid of death. And he didn't want the entire world knowing that.

If you want to find it (though I know you don't ;) ) you basically type in:

Yahoo Saddam Hung Video Does Anyone Have It

and it wil send you to a thread on the Yahoo boards, where they have links to the actual video (go to page 2 & 3)

Why isn't he putting a struggle up?'

some aren't afraid of death.

I'm aware.
=)
But I'm not afraid of death per se, but the idea bores me. The pain doesn't faze me, it's the idea of it being over. No more life.
I wish there was such thing as a heaven or an afterlife, or reincarnation into human or animal, but I don't particulalry believe in it. And the idea of not being able to be alive, do stuff or think, makes me feel bored.

I have no idea.

Like she said, they haven't found him.
Actually, they're not even sure if he's alive or not. They got some videos from someone close to Bin Laden (perhaps Massoui (sp?) before he got caught or whatever happened with him) that suggested that Bin Laden was alive and he was planning something.
It's hard to hang someone they don't have.

We never found Bin Laden. Reason why?

We're in Iraq, fighting for the unknown cause.

Honestly, I mean it's nice that the US is trying to achieve peace in the middle east, but it's obvious that they haven't solved their own problems, which should come first. Terrorism is still a huge issue over their. Iraq should not be their problem right now.

Almost certain.
If I were them I'd hang him on the spot.
But there is probably a rule about everyone getting a fair trial. He'd be proven guilty and sent to death row.

:sad2: but dont they have proof of everything he did?

who has the power to sentence the people to death? is it the americans or is it the iraqians?

Osama is not an Iraqui.
He's Afghan.
& I'm not sure who would have the right to hold court, probably the Americans as he was terrorising their country. Saddam was tried in his country because it had nothing to do with America. NOTHING. Osama is a different story.

Yes, they have proof, but everyone deserves a trial. Saddam got a trial, and what he did had proof. It's still necessary.

I don't believe the phrase "innocent until proven guilty". You're guilty until proven innocent, in my book.

The Baghdad public held a trial for Saddam and sentenced him to hang.

Americans have nothing to do with his trial.
He was killing people in his own country.
So therefore the court was people from his country, and they decided his fate. They signed his papers for him to be hung, etc.

saddam is from baghdad.

americans had nothing to do with his trial.

The baghdad public held the trial.
He hung in baghdad.
He's buried in baghdad.

I'll say it one more time:

Saddam was killing people in his country.
He was not being a good president for his country.
Therefore, he was overthrown in his country.
This has nothing to do with the US. He did nothing to the US.

Now I'm confused. I was correcting her because she said he was a president. I was simply pointing out that he was a dictator, not a president. heh, I don't think I was contradicting his reasons of being hanged...nah, I quite agree with that.

Eh yeah.
I also hate.. communism? I think that's it. Like in China, where people are all paid the same amount of money. Honestly, it's just teaching people to forget about dreams and goals because no matter what you'll be paid the same as the milk man.

We make more than two milk trips a week to the grocery store.
We measure in litres xD
My dad & brother drink tons of milk.
My mother needs it for coffee.
I don't drink it.
