Is there anyone who is familiar with EMerald Island, Windsor Hills, or any other nearby resorts who can give me some insight into them? I am interested in knowing which one has better pool, amenities, etc. Any info would be helpful. Also, is Oak Island Harbor and Oak Island Cove part of Emerald Island or are they separate. thanks, Julie

I'll tell you what I know of WH. It has a very large freeform, zero entry pool with waterslide, and separate hot tub.Very nice. Clubhouse has pool tables, pingpong, movie theatre, video games, store etc. There's also a big playground and tennis courts. It is only 2 miles from Disney Animal Kingdom via Sherberth Rd. Go to windsorhillsrent.com and you can see pictures of the resort. We stayed there in Sept. and loved it. We drove around to the other resorts so I do know where they are but were unable to go in. Oak Island Harbour and Cove are separate from EI although they are close by.

Here's a link to a page on my website with picture of the Windsor Hills Resort and information on it, it's really a very nice place, but EI is also nice I've heard (our MC manages both resorts).

Windsor Hills Resort consists of 1001 homes, condos (2/2 or 3/2), townhomes (3 bed / 3 bath with private pools), and 4/5/6 bedroom pool homes.
It also has an incredible resort pool clubhouse, newly opened recreation area, and playground, and is just 2 miles / 5 minutes from Disney (truly).
Places can vary by furnishings / amenities, but many can be rented directly from the owners off of the Windsorhillsrent.com or vrbo.com website. I am not aware of a similar site for Emerald Island, you would also find rentals for that resort on vrbo.com (Which I feel is a more awkward website to surf through...but everyone advertises on it).
Both resorts are located in the same general area near WDW, here's a map of the resorts on the area on a sister board:

As I understand EI the townhomes there do not have pools, only the single family homes there do. Not sure if EI even has condos.
Best advice I can offer you is go check out the various owner's websites, the best ones have tons of pictures of the place, lots of information, etc, more than you will find on the "ad" sites, but the ad sites will have links to the owner's own sites.

I would say that Emerald Island is very nice, but I am also biased, since I own 4 4 bedroom pool homes there. It is a gated community with beautiful landscaping and resort ammenities. It is aslo very close to Disney (2-3 miles).
Oak Island Cove and Oak Island Harbour are not part of EI, but nearby. I think they are more permanent residents with just a few short term rentals. Where EI is 99%short term rental community.
EI has about 700 pool homes and townhomes. There are no Condos. The townhomes are 3 and 4 bedrooms and the pool homes range from 4-7 bedrooms.

I have stayed at EI and LOVED it.:thumbsup2 (well , I LOVED the resort...HATED the house because of the cheap thin budget hotel quality mattresses for the beds:rolleyes: )
It is VERY close to WDW and the have excellent clubhouse amenities.
