Waitlist for Thanksgiving '07...ALREADY!!!

i just called to make a reservation for our home resort - BWV - for next thanksgiving and, to my surprise, i could not get a STD view studio for thanksgiving day! i was shocked...i honestly did not expect to have any problems reserving this early.

i was able to get the other nights that i wanted (the Wed before and the Fri-Tue after), and MS told me that i could reserve a PREF view studio for thanksgiving night. but i would have had to borrow pts from '08 for that and would prefer not to.

so.....i'm on the waitlist for thanksgiving. i figure this far in advance, SOMEONE will have to cancel between now and then, right???

I think your waitlist will come through too. I think lots of people reserve Christmas and Thansgiving at 11-months "just in case" they decide to go and then end up with other obligations.

Oh, no! This is definitely not good news. We want to stay in a 1 BR at HH for Thanksgiving next year, but can't reserve there until 7 months. Someone said something about "trading points", but since I don't even understand that, I think I'm destined to sit and chew my nails for 4 more months.

This year, I didn't get Thanksgiving Day at SSR until 3 weeks before arrival, so good luck! I found it almost as hard to get as Christmas--it certainly was just as busy, at least for the 4 day weekend. I was told that the locals like to come for the holiday.

I think your waitlist will come through. I had to call MS on the day the 11 month window opened up for thanksgiving (it was a saturday) and it was so busy I could not get through at all. I called back around 3:30 pm and did not have a problem. Good luck to you!

Called one day late for a standard studio Oct 22th, could not get. Got boardwalk view thought.
