I added some pics of our family scrapbooking pages to our 2006 trip report.

When my wife started scrapbooking, I thought it was a very creative way to memorialize major things in our daughter's life.

Then I found myself more and more intriqued and the artistic side of me wanted to sit down at the table and start "scrapbookin'!!"

So I did our 2005 and 2006 Disney vacations to WDW and Vero Beach.

Yes, I'm the guy, the husband, the father, the man. Males can scapbook and still be manly!

My wife shows the scrapbook and when friends get to the Disney pages and say, "Wow! You did a great job on these!' she loves to tell them that she didn't do them and that I did!

Just page through to the end of the pics to see some of the scrapbooking pages. I'm big into pictures and include alot!

Wow, what great pages. I love the shadow box idea with the shells. When we stayed at Vero Beach the kids came home with bags of shells that are just sitting on the dressers. They make a beautiful display!

Those are great pages! We are going to Vero Beach in June--none of us have ever been before, so it was great to see pics of it! I love the shadow box idea, too, and I may have to try that!

Thanks for sharing!! :)

You're going to just love Disney's Vero Beach Resort. It's our favorite place in the world! The resort is beyond compare, the facilities are everything you could want and the ocean/beach is gorgeous! Be sure to rent the Jet Ski's so you can see the giant sea turtles about 75 yards off shore. You just putt around and they surface for air all around you. I know they say they're endandered but there had to be 50-75 of them out there in the surf waiting for nightfall to come in and lay eggs. They were everywhere!

If you drive just north to Sebastian, be sure to try dinner at Captain Hiram's, it's a very Floridian restaurant/bar with live music, great food, right on the water with docks for fishing boats which are bringing in their catch while you're eating.

Also, in your room will be a magazine/almanac with lots of coupons for the area. There is a 50% coupon for the Mel Fisher Museum in Sebastian. This museum is spectacular! Displaying the treasures and telling the story of the 1715 fleet that sank right there in Vero! The gold and emerald jewelry from 300 years ago is really cool. You can even hold a genuine gold bar that was brought up from the ocean floor.

I spent 2 hours on the beach making a Mickey out of shells and seaweed (for his dark hair and ears) and it stayed for the whole week we were there, no one messed it up.

The Donald Duck and Goofy breakfast character meal is great. The pool is usually quite warm and the lighthouse slide is a blast!

Enjoy!
