Does anyone know when SW will extend their schedule. I am looking for middle of April and it is not out yet. I guess since 9/11 they have changed their policy of booking 6 months out. The last schedule was put out somewhere around Oct 17. Thanks for any help.:sunny:

If you didn't already read it here, Southwest released their flight schedule through June5, today 12/6. All of the flights that we wanted are already showing UNAVAILABLE. I seem to remember a post from the last date release that said it takes a day or two for them to show all available flights. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Did anyone have any luck booking unavailables at the last date release???:( :(

On the last release date, I booked 2 flights at full fares, within a week, the earlier flight dropped $200 r/t.

This happened to me last time. I went on the the iflyswa.com website and it still has april 5 listed as last date of travel. Any suggestions?

All my dates are unavailable to! How can this be? I am hoping the above posters are right and they did not release all the seats yet or something. Maybe they are trying to make us panic so we will go will the high fair. Is anyone else in this situation. Are you going to wait, and if so how long? My trip depends on a low airfare. We won't be going if I can't get it for under $230.00 from Pvd. Nothing left to do put pray!! Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the heads up. So far they are only showing full fare refundable tickets for the flights I want. I'll check back. Nice to know they are open though.

We're going to keep checking the site, and probably wait to make a decision next Tuesday when the ClicknSave specials are announced. :(

Pluto, when the price went down on the "earlier" flight were you able to switch your ressie to that one, or get a credit for the $200 difference??

*BUMP* looking for folks who were able to book UNAVAILABLES, on Southwest. How long after the release date did your low cost fares become available?:)

And I received it, too! Thanks so much for your insight and assistance, Pluto. We may start with full fare refundables, just to insure that we get the flights we want. :) Thanks for your help.:)

The unavailables will disappear!
I had the same problem when they released dates for Feb. It took their system awhile to get everything put into it and then when the specials came out they were even lower! Did you check the rates recently???

azlaura, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, checking twice a day and wondering whether it's worthwhile to get up at midnight or early tomorrow, Tuesday (PST), to see if some of those unavailables have magically disappeared!:)
