I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Grand Californian recently. My dad has just been there(just to look--on a business trip) and asked me to do some research about it maybe being our place to vacation this summer. If anyone has any information please e-mail me at InezDay16@aol.com.

We spent SAturday night at the Grand California. We loved the place. Bell service, check in and check out was great. I originally had made reservations for 2 hotel rooms that were suppose to be 1 queen bed and bunk beds (we have a 16yo Son and 19 yo Daughter.) So, that sounded great. When we got to the hotel, we were told we had 2 queen beds! We asked what happed to the bunk beds. They said only 5'2" & under will fit on the bunk beds (my son is 6'2"). No one ever said anything like that when I was making reservations. There is NO ROOM for a rollaway (they do not have them), so they sent up a sleeping bag and mat!
The hotel is beautiful, we will be staying there again. NAPA Rose Restaurant is really too expensive. Everything is alacarte.
Its nice to walk around Downtown Disney then go to the hotel.
Feel free to ask any specific questions.

We stayed at GC for three nights last week and had a room with 2 double beds. We found everything very nice but were extremely irked by the lack of directional signs in the hotel. We wandered around for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get to DL from the hotel. Unless you spring for Valet you have to park accross the street. Another complaint was the quick service restaurant it's outside down by the pool. So it's quite a hike if you are in your room and wanted a snack. Not practical and very poorly organized. We really enjoyed our stay only a few minor complaints.
