I'm sure asked a million times, but can you add a code after reservation is made?

Planning our Jan. 2008 trip around MLK weekend. I don't want to get stuck without a room, so I would like to reserve one early in the year, but if/when the codes come out, I want to apply it. Can I do that without penalty, or do I need to book through a TA?

You can add a code, but the code may be for only a few rooms at each resort, so you may end up changing resorts. Stay on these boards and keep watching, even though you have a year away. Most times DIS members know about codes before CRO does.

I added a code for our October trip, it was so easy!! When I called, I told them the code and they instantly came back with the new total for our trip- and we had saved $350.00!! I did watch the boards everyday and called as soon as I found the code. Later in the week I saw many post where the availability was gone in many of the resorts. My original booking for the trip was in March, and the code came out in August ( about 2 weeks before our final payment was due). Good Luck!!!
