90 minutes yesterday--snow shoveling and swimming. It is kind of depressing when you get everything shoveled and then it keeps snowing and you have to start over again! Between myself and DH, we shoveled 4 times yesterday.

In order for me to stay focused I have to post once a day. Sorry if I become a pain in the butt for doing this. I weighed in on my new weight watchers scale and need to loose 45 pounds. I am 245 and go to DW in 6 weeks. I hope to loose most of this weight by then. any advice out there for me is 20 to 25 pounds a bit to optimisitic here. your thoughts please.

I am at 490/1800 min so far for Jan.

Sorry I haven't checked in until now. Unfortunately, this year started off with a major computer crash. I'm finally back on line now, but still trying to fine tune the darn thing. Between that, me being sick the first few days of the year, and one sick cat who is now much better, my exercise year has not gotten off the way I'd planned it. Hopefully we are done with problems and I can pick up the pace a little bit. I was hoping I'd set a lower goal, but the 1800 min will give me something to shoot for and keep me motivated.

Just popping in to say hi:wave2: Surgery went fine, I was hoping to be back to exercising quickly, but think I better wait till my postop checkup next Tuesday. I get tired a lot quicker than I expected that I would.

Same here. I totally middes the Nov and Dec challenges and didn't even consider any before that. However, as of this morning, I'm over my goal of 500 minutes. :cool1: I'm not going to stop though. I've been getting up and doing 30 minutes each morning (save 3) on the elliptical, and I'm going to try to continue that. I've also gone a few evening strolls with my dd(7). I'm feeling better and more energetic, and I've decided to run/walk a 5K in May and then do the 1/2 WDW Marathon next Jan. There's talk of a special 15th anniversary medal though, so the FULL is actually calling my name. I can't believe it is something I'm even thinking about. Yikes!!

I'd love to get in on this thread. I started my exercise routine/wt. loss plan on Jan 9th. I've lost 7lbs and I've joined a gym. Last week I had a 150min of exercise. Do I have to pick a goal? Can someone direct me how to add the little "exercise challenge" icon in the siggie. Good luck to all!

NOt quite where I hoped to be...

I've only gotten to 310 our of 1000. :sad2: :sad1:

I'm gonna try to do 45-60 min a day the rest of the month. And try to make it closer to a 1000 atleast.

I am all caught up and everyone is updated as of 10AM on Sat 1/27/07

Congrats to all those who have finished especially denecarter for going above and beyond what she had planned to .

I am onlly at 50% so I probablly won't finish this month but I am puttin more time than i did last month so that is an improvement. (I had a cold last week and I couldn't breath or swallow)

There is a few more days so we can keep adding to our totals so let's not forget about that.

jlawall Happy Birthday. What did you see on Broadway? Disney I presume. I saw Mary Poppin before it opened and really enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for starting this thread and all the time you take to do the updates. It is greatly appreciated. I know on the days I didn't feel like exercising, I kept thinking "I want to actually complete a challenge". It kept me motivated. I did 180 minutes this week, so my January total is 710/600 Now I'll have to up my goal for February (although February IS a shorter month;) )

Got my 8 miler done today. With warm up, cool down and stretching, it gives me 133 minutes. That brings my total to 774/1000. :cool1:

I totally forgot to keep track of what I have been exercising. I know I am not giong to hit the 1800 that I signed on for. But I have been exercising 30 - 60+ minutes 5- 6 days a week.

Looks like I am not going to make it this month. I am currently at 1170/1800. I hope to get in a few more min tomorrow to at least get to 1200 min for the month. I'm going for a lower goal next month and hope that I stay healthy, the cats stay healthy, and my computer stays healthy. All of the aforementioned were very big distractions this month.
On a more positive note, I have had a pretty good exercise week this week. I'm starting to get back in the habit of getting out there on a consistent basis and getting myself moving. I will have to be sure to carry that momentum over into next month!

Got 65 minutes on the TM and 30 minutes of strength training done today. Donac, I hope you have my totals written down. I discovered tonight that I have added incorrectly!! I missed adding one of my postings, so I have been been off by 45 minutes (since post#222)...YIKES..but really, yeah!! I'll make my goal!! My total should be 1009/1000.

Took the dogs out for a walk - cut it short due to the cold on their tiny little feet. 35 min - now at 1524/1600 - 95%. Still need 76 min. That I think I can handle!

I didn't get all the exercise in this month I wanted but we are redoing our basememnt and it is taking forever. The treadmill has been buried for a few days which didn't help my cause.

But the basement is really taking shape and I am set back up and ready for next month. ;)
