Hi Tonya,
just giving you a little bump!!
I know someone who is going close to you, but not the same date, sorry!!

I have the same problem for our 4/5/07 cruise. I think I started it about 8 months ago and I am the only one on it still:sad2:
I do have 2 ladies who stop by and say hello from time to time, but nobody is sailing with me.

I guess they heard how mean I can be, perhaps my whip has scared them off?:confused3

I always have trouble getting people to post for the Wonder cruises, dont know why.

I hope you have a Magical cruise!!! Be sure and post a trip report when you return. If possible, let me know who is in the Promenade lounge?? Just curious.
I will try and give you a bump a couple of times unless you find someone to post with.

Prepare to hang out with the greatest people (even though they're Missourians)! Tonya and her "men" are a force to be reckoned with! Don't be shy ... come and say Hi (oo! It rhymed!). And if you don't ... well then, I guess the Springfield gang will have to settle for coming with us Banana Heads in November !

Tonya, Amandab, and Gone To Disney,

We just booked yesterday and will be joining you on this cruise!
Sailing will be myself, DD7, and DM who will turn 60 on 7/21 while we are on the boat...but she doesn't want anyone to know :rotfl:

DM and I have not cruised in 13 years, and have never cruised with DCL. We are very excited about this "girl's trip" and looking for any words of wisdom you can provide us on cruising with DCL.

We will be in 6594...feel free to knock and introduce yourselves. There will be a LGMH with "Bzzelady" on the door!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back and say Welcome. WELCOME. As you can see we are cruzing with Me (Tonya), DH (Trey), DS (Hunter) and DD (Cassidy). Trey, myself and Hunter have been on two other Disney cruises and this will be Cassidy's first cruise. We've always taken 7 days, but needed a break this summer and wanted to blow our DVC points on something we love. We love to Cruise Disney and would probably turn down a free cruise on anyone else because we love it so much.

As far as advise about DCL, think "when you wish upon a star...." All you have to do is ask. They are great about everything. One cruise I wanted Cheesecake for desert, it wasn't on the menu, but it magically appeared at the table at desert time. Everynight after that they managed to wrangle me a piece. We have always had the best service, best room hostess or host and have enjoyed seeing those same people cruise after cruise. Never a complaint. Even with stomach flu going around the boat, it was still a great time.

We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you on the boards.

:drinking1 Heres to getting to know you better.

Tonya,

We are all really excited about this trip. Yesterday I had my DD (Anastasia) sit down and watch the DCL segment on Travel Channel and she was just sitting there with her mouth hanging open! (no sooner was it over...then my DM (Jane) was on the phone pointing out things that looked cool to her :) )

Do you recommend any shore excursions in Nassau? We were thinking of maybe just hanging around on the boat that day but if you have a good recommendation, maybe we will try it.

I'm 36, my hubby is 51 and our kids will be 7 and 8 in July...

We've been on one cruise (with Princess to the Eastern Caribbean last spring) and LOVED it - this is our first Disney cruise. :)

We're flying out from California a few days early to enjoy some time at the parks until we board the Wonder on Thursday - can't wait and look forward to getting to know you!

Good Morning all:

Welcome Online Mom. We are glad to have you coming with us.

83 days till i leave for vacation. Seems like forever, but it will be here before I know it.

Chris, I've never been to Nassau, but we signed up for the Carribean Queen Snorkeling thing. We love the water. We also signed up for the stingray adventure on Castaway. We did this last year and my son was too scared of the stingrays to feed them. He did swim with them afterwards, but he promises this year to touch them. This is honestly one of the coolest things i've ever done. The stingrays come up on something last looks like a drive through for stingrays, then they have you put your hand down with food in between your fingers and they come by and suck it off. Its a wicked feeling, but one I will NEVER forget. After they get done feeding them you get to go out and swim with them and do the stingray shuffle. All of the stingrays have been manicured (their stingers cut off) so they are of no harm to anyone. Its quite unnerving when they smack your legs while your feeding them. As you can tell im a BIG fan.

If you want to snorkel at Castaway I would suggest doing that first thing as the more people that get into the water the more sand and silt and the less visibility for snorkeling. Its a great place to see fish. We were there two years ago after the hurricanes and the fish were few and far between, but when we were there in November, I had to fight to keep the fish from bumping up against me. (we were also chumming the water). :)

Im looking forward to getting to know all you guys.

It sounds like there's going to be some very shocked kids on this Cruise ;)

Today, I booked Palo for dinner on the last night. On our last Cruise hubby and I went for brunch for the first time, and we loved it, so this will be our first dinner there

Im sorry that we don't have any teenagers going. Both of mine will be 10. Oh the humanity. Cassidy has never been before and this will be Hunter's 3rd cruise. He's an old pro. The only problem with this trip is that we just bought a house and we are moving the weekend before we leave. Do you think anyone would be nice enough to move my house while we are gone? Doubt it. But I can hope.

Yep gotta love Stitch.

We are staying there after the cruise also. I sprang for a 2 room so that DH and I could have some privacy. Actually I haven't stayed there and when my boss went with my DVC points he stayed at Old Key West. All I know from past experiences is try to get as close to the goings on as possible and that any resort requires some walking. :)

Dumb question to you all, do you make your family dress up in matching shirts the first day of the cruise? I have for the last two and really thinking about doing it on this one.

OK Steph, first you need to load your photos onto your computer, then you need to load them onto a photo host site, I use photobucket.com or you can use The Dis http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/showmembers.php/cat/500, once you have registered on either site (the wdwinfo site will be your DISname), then browse and add your photos (both sites are free to register)

If you have loaded your photos onto a website, then just right click on the photo, click on properties and copy the URL address, then paste it in your reply to this thread and put at the beginning of the URL and at the end - then hopefully it will appear

Sorry, that sounds long-winded, but it's easy once you get started

Good luck, I hope it works

Stephanie, I agree with your daughter. I think I wrode it on an off day. It scared the cr*p out of me. I was laying in my son's lap and my step daughter was under my husband. I swore then and there never again. Also the dina-spin, not my favorite ride, talking about being sick the rest of the day and it was HE*L on my lanyard and pins.

Have a great night. I only have to work a 1/2 day tomorrow. Darn house inspections. :)

I think it is pretty much like that all the time, Tonya:scared1: Nicole was so angry at my husband and I that she ran screaming &crying from the ride:eek: I felt so bad for her as she was only 6yrs at the time but I had no idea it was so darn scary:headache: I had my eyes shut tight the whole ride! and my hubby's hat was blown off from the Dino breath, sneeze or whatever it was!LOL!

Good luck on the inspection, Tonya!:wizard:

Hi Girls

It seems that Epcot is a fave amongst us all. I love walking around World Showcase in the evening and trying different drinks from the different countries and ending up in the Rose & Crown for a sing-song :rotfl2:

Have you got any plans for the weekend ? We haven't got any plans but we may go to a shopping centre, as the girls love 'surf shops' and like to get ideas of what they're going to buy when we get to Orlando

Tonya - I hope your inspection goes well, and enjoy your 1/2 day off

Have a great weekend

Hi Chris! yes, we have been a chatty bunch these last few weeks:lmao: LOL! Mandy asked some great questions and its fun reading all the different answers! Looks like Ohana is pretty popular for dining. We love the food:cloud9:

My dd, Nicole, is graduating this week from Junior High and keeps saying she wishes we could be back on the Disney Magic...she has no idea that we have this cruise planned on the Wonder. I only told her that we are taking a trip to Florida to visit her grandparents;) :rolleyes1

Hi Chris

It's great to meet you, I'm Mandy from the UK and we booked this Cruise last Monday, we'll be on Deck 2 Aft.

It's going to be a busy week for us this week, as my eldest DD (Kerry) is in the middle of her exams and on Friday night it is her Prom. We're all so excited for her, and I can't wait to see her with her hair done, her lovely dress (which we had shipped over from JC Penney) and her stretch limo. Kerry isn't very traditional, but she's had a try out for her hair and she looked fab. I promise to post some photos either Friday night or Saturday. She's planning on taking her dress for the dress-up night on the Cruise

I'll try and think of some more fun questions (or you can) to help us get to know each other

See ya

Mandy :)

Hey Shipmates pirate:

Just a quick question will you be dressing up for Pirate Night ? I think we'll all have Pirate t-shirts on and lots of jewellery, but not proper outfits. On our last Cruise, there were loads of young boys dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, and they looked great

I'm not sure if I'll be around much over the next few days, I'm in cleaning mode at the minute, getting ready for Kerry's Prom, and I've been cleaning like mad throughout the house (as the Limo is leaving from here)

Anyway, I hope you're all having a lovely day

Sorry I have been absent. Too much life, not enough time.

We are just going to wear Pirate shirts. We had friends that dressed up in full costumes last time, but I don't want to pack anything more than I ABSOLUTELY need.

There is my 2 cents. :)

We just got news last night that our flight times had been changed. I was really looking forward to getting up and having time to eat breakfast BEFORE getting the the airport. Well the sooner I leave the sooner I get there.

Have a great day.

Hey Guys

It has been absolutely mad around here tonight, as it is Kerry's Prom Night

I haven't been around much this week as I have been up to my eyes in cleaning. I've never had so many people in my little house, but the wine, beer and alcopops have been a great hit with everyone :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The kids started arriving around 4.30pm, there was hair, make-up and nails going on in different rooms and the Limo arrived around 5.45pm

I can't believe that she has left school and only has to go in for a couple of lessons and her exams

To tell the truth, I felt quite jealous, I could've got a fancy frock on and joined them, they looked like they were having a fab time

Yes, it seems like DCL wants to free up the less expensive room and will bump people up and it may help to not have a room number such at a GTY (guarantee the cat. booked or may upgrade) but we we have been upgraded before from a Cat 6, veranda, to a Cat 4 family suite and we did have a room selelcted for the Cat 6...sooooo you never know:confused3

Hey Mandy since you have your documents.... What time are we pulling into Nassau and what time are we leaving? I need to send the info to the ex's and don't have that anywhere.

Please. :)

Hey Tonya

I'm sorry but the documents don't have much info on them. I've looked at my confirmation letter from DCL and that says that we arrive in Nassau at 9.30am and leave at 7pm, which I'm sure are the times we had in January

I hope that helps

Mandy :)

No that works for me. Thank you so much. I misplaced my passporter information. We are still on document watch here in Missouri. I don't expect them until the end of the week.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Woohoo !! My documents have arrived:cheer2: :cheer2:

Not that there's much to them, just luggage labels (which are now wrong since we upgraded) and the Bahamas Immigration Forms - but it's still great to receive stuff from Disney :rotfl2:

Mandy :)

:cool1: That is great news:cool1: I will keep an eye out for our documentspopcorn:: :rolleyes1

I got my documents last night. There they were ALL alone on the front porch. So I took them in and will keep them and call the George. Ok so it WAY TOO early to be up, dressed and at work.

Anyone have late dinner seating? we have always done first but since we booked late...only late seating available. Anyone like the late seating? I have heard that it lasts longer then early dinner.:confused3

We do late seating. We really like it. We went to the shows the first time we are on the boat, didn't really hold our interest. Plus you don't have to rush to get back on the ship when you are in port. If you are hungry when you get back get the cheese plate or something light to hold you over. Also, the ship is a ghost ship during the 6 o'clock show and dinner. Only a few people are at the pools, etc. Well that was more than my 2 cents..... Only 12 more days until the cruise.

We are headed to St Louis tonight to catch the Cardinals game tomorrow night for my b-day. We are Cardinals fans, we are lucky enough to have their AAA team here in Springfield. So we get to see the stars before they are stars. My son is hoping to meet Yadier Molina tomorrow night, everyone keep their fingers crossed. I so want it to happen for him.

Steph - We're the same, we have always had early seating, but we have booked late seating for our August '08 Cruise, so we're hoping we like it. Last time it felt like we were getting ready for dinner too early, and as the girls are now teenagers, they are happy to eat at any time

Tonya - Have a great birthday and enjoy your weekend

The girls are off to a sleepover tomorrow night, so hubby & I are going to see Die Hard 4.0 and going for a meal. Has anyone else seen this Die Hard movie ? we're big fans of the other ones and I hope this one is just as good

Have a great weekend everyone

Mandy :)

p.s. Woohoo !! 2 weeks today we'll be in Nassau

Woohoo !! We're nearly all packed, as we leave for the airport on Thursday (as we're staying over for the night) and we're flying to Orlando on Friday. We've decided that we're going to go to Cocoa Beach on Sunday to see the Disney Wonder sail, then the next time we see her, we'll be getting on

Wow, I'm sooooooo excited

That is exciting, Mandy! I would love to see the Wonder sail:love: We don't leave until Tuesday:cloud9:

For those of you who have sailed the 3 day a question...is there a dessert buffet? I know there is on the 7 days but just "wonder"ing:dance3:

I'm sure that there is a dessert buffet on the 3 night, and I think it was on Pirate Night (it was on Pirate night on the 4 night) and BTW it's delicious :thumbsup2

Hi There Shipmates!

Nothing like booking a last minute cruise to get your blood pumping! DH and I and two of our best friends will be on the July 19, 2007 cruise! We've all cruised Disney a few times before (DH and I usually have our DD along, but we've sent her off to California to visit the grandparents!)

We are very much looking forward to this "Adults Only Cruise" ;) and will be helping our friends birthday at Palo's on the 20th!

Here's my answers to all those questions you posted!:

What is your first name ? Lisa
How old are you ? 41
What is your favourite Disney movie ? Cinderella
Who is your favourite Disney Character ? Chip N Dale
How many times have you been to WDW ? Too many to count!
Where do you like to stay in WDW/Orlando ? Wilderness Villas (we're DVC)
What is your favourite colour ? Periwinkle
What is your favourite non Disney movie ? Grease

I'll chat with you all later!

LGM:)

How lovely to be having an 'adults only' cruise, I look forward to 'chatting' with you, though I'm off to WDW on Friday

Good Morning all:

Welcome Lisa. What a great cruise for you. Adults only. Sounds dreamy.

We are getting closer and closer. Has anyone else NOT started their packing yet. We hope to start this weekend. Its been NUTS around here (all by our own design) with Baseball etc.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Mandy, have a safe trip.

Maybe we should tell each other what we will be wearing that first day so we can pick each other out. Our family will be in Cardinals red (as chosen by my son). So if you see these 4 freaks in the terminal, thats us. :)

Happy Wednesday. Only 6 more day until we leave.

We just got our cruise docs last night, luckily with being able to fill almost everything out on-line AND make our Palo's/Spa ressies, we weren't really worried.

We haven't started packing yet! Usually I pack for a trip WEEKS ahead, but DH is now working 3rd shift at the airport and has two weekdays off instead of weekends, so makes it a bit hard to coordinate. We'll likely be starting this evening. I know our friends are already packing, they're trying to fit everything into their carry-ons to lessen their risk of AA losing their luggage!

We aren't planning any major excursions (DH is going to Atlantis to gamble his mad money away :rolleyes1 while our friends and I do a bit of jewelry shopping in Nassau. We plan on vegging out at CC, just laying around in the hammocks and calling the Cabana Boy's for fresh drinks!

I have not started packing yet :sad2:
Hopefully, I will get that done on Friday.

We have not picked out anything in particular to wear. We plan to be at port early (probably when they open) as we will be driving from WDW. Will probably have my LGMH with my DIS "Bzzelady" on my lanyard.

Getting excited now
