Wait list for Easter Week

We have been on a waiting list for about 6 weeks already for Boardwalk Villas during Easter Week. We requested a 2 bdr & a studio because we want to take two sets of grandparents plus our two kids & everyone likes a little privacy.
Has anyone had success with the waiting lists?
What are our odds of our getting in?
Any other suggestions for a good use of points for Easter Week that would include all the grandparents plus our family of 4 (seven people in all).

Have you ever thought of extending your choice to OKW as well? Or even opting for a one bedroom and a studio? We were on a waitlist for Jan 1-5 and it came through in 2 weeks. We couldn't get our home resort (VWL), but DID get a choice of 1BR or studio at OKW. We were also on the waitlist for BWV but at the time it hadn't come through. If it's a choice between going or not going, I'd choose going and being in separate rooms!!!!! BTW, we had to decline the OKW offer. DH got a little too much "Scrooge" in him at the time!

I had to cancel my Easter week ressies last year at the 35 day mark!! I was bummed but I am sure I made another DVC member happy.

Can you put your name on OKW, VWL waitlist too???

Thanks for the suggestions about OKW. We decided that OKW would not be a good option. The grandparents do not all get around too well and will likely want to enjoy the hotel while we run around with the kids. OKW is just too quiet and challenging to get around in if you are not very mobile. We know there is quite a bit more activity at Boardwalk & the grandparents could have plenty more to do.

This may be dashing some hopes but we have twice tried to waitlist at BWV for Easter time for a 1BR (for relatives) getting on it about 6 months out. It did not come through although OKW did.

Remember to check out the Rent/Trade Board. I had waitlisted for Jan 6 - 7 for 2 months when it came through for me, but now have decided to cruise those last 2 nights + 2 more so have to cancel. I posted that they are available ressies hoping someone else who waitlisted also would like the ressie at BWV , but have been surprised that no one has contacted me so I will probably turn them back in for points. Then someone else on the waitlist will be happy!

Have you thought about trading the points into one of the resorts? I just did that with New Year's Eve. I realize that it will not give you the same quality as BWV's, but I was happy to get the YC on 1 months notice. I have also traded to a FW cabin for Easter week.
