Since I FINALLY finished all my Christmas projects, wrapping, etc I thought I'd post a couple pictures of my finished projects. The inspiration came from all you talented ladies.

These are the paint cans I did for my coworkers. They mostly held gift cards and candy or other small gifts.

These is one of the cans I made for my stepdaughters. I also did quart cans to "nest" inside the gallon ones. They hold cell phone minutes and gift cards.

One of my coworkers became a grandmother for the first time this year so I made her a little mini-accordian album inside a tin to hold her pictures.

I liked how it came out, so I decided to do a similar album for my stepdaughters to hold pictures of their friends, or whatever.

That's what's been keeping me busy for the past couple of weeks. I can't wait to see what you guys inspire me to do next Christmas!

Wow! You did a beautiful job! Your co-workers are so lucky to have you! I hope they appreciate your efforts! You must have a great relationship with all of them! That is great! I wish I had that at work!!!!!! :lmao: Alas I work in the Fed Gov't and my co-workers are so cynical and mean it is hard to find the nice ones!!!! :rotfl2:

I just gave them handmade tags this year and all I got was yea, whatever.... :rotfl: Glad I don't spend too much time on them!!!! LOL!!!! I save the quality stuff for my friends and DIS Friends!!!!

Thanks! Everyone did appreciate them. My coworkers are great - we all have a great relationship. It's easily the best place I've ever worked. Before I came here, I was seriously thinking about changing careers as I was really unhappy but working with the right people makes all the difference. We work well together, and we have lots of fun too. I'm very lucky.

Sorry your coworkers didn't appreciate your efforts, Maria. I'm glad you figured out how to reprioritize though!

I wanted to say what a beautiful job you did. I am going to try to make a paintcan for my daughter's teacher for end of the year gift full of sweets. She gives so many to my daughter each day we will replenish for next year.
I was wondering what did you use to make the photocards and how did you attach them together???????????????
thanks Diane

Thanks for the compliment! I'm sure your daughter's teacher will appreciate the gift.

The little tin albums were made using an accordian fold insert that I got from Oriental Trading. They were about $3 for 6 inserts. That is also where I got the tins - $4 for a set of 3. I just embellished them - no assembly required!
