Last year I gave both my mom and MIL a starter scrapbook with the promise to add to it each year. Well, last night I finished both my mom’s and mom in laws Christmas scrapbook pages for the year! 14 pages total. It took me about a week. 9 pages I love, 3 pages I like and 2 that are just okay. The irony of it all is that I haven’t scrapped a single page for my own books at all this year.
Does any one else out there do books or pages as gifts for Christmas?

But when my neices turn 2, they get a personallized ABC scrapbook. Their parents love it, I love it and (when they're older), they'll love it. (I have to admit, 2 is too young - I wish I had waited until they turned 3 or 4, but after the first one got one at 2, I was stuck!)
However, I did personalize frames for Christmas this year. I used all scrappnig materials and had a BLAST picking the theme and designing the frames.

I used the picfolio minutes for my son's great-grandparent's brag books. They can display as easles so they double as frames. I will send new pictures to add to them as I go.
Actually, you got me thinking that I may do a grandparent's album for my parents. That sounds great to me!
I am already planning a Storybook for my psuedo-sister. I started babysitting her when she was 3. She is 16 now. And, she is like family... so we have lots of pictures of her growing up. (She was even a bridesmaid in my wedding) I am going to give it to her for her 18th.

Last year I did family recipe books for my sisters (going back a couple generations) and this year I did just family books - old photos back to great-great grandparents - for DH's siblings. These were all once & done books...not the ongoing kind. There's no way I'd ever attempt that! :lmao:
I really enjoyed doing the ones for my sisters - there are only 2 of them. But DH's siblings & their adult children? I did 5 identical books thinking it would be easier since I have so much trouble making decisions. :lmao: OMG!! I'm sooooo sick of doing these books! I'm never doing another album for his family! :lmao: :lmao:

I did a gift album for my Dad a few years ago for his birthday. It is the "ongoing" type (and the only scrapbook I work on that is actually caught up!!) I scrap his gardens and every year I add more. My mom takes the photos for me. We make a great team! And it gives me something to give him for Father's Day and his b.day every year!..............P
