Good morning! I thought I'd get some ideas and input from all of the talented ladies and gents here on the Creative Community Board. I've been keeping up with the board lately but not posting as we've been all over the place since November.

We have had a crazy busy month, what with Thanksgiving travel for 5 days, WDW for 8 days, and now we're leaving tomorrow for another 5 days for Christmas. Jason and I are worn out and I know by Tuesday night when we get back we will be ready to collapse!

So we decided last night to go on a "vacation" next week - at home! From Tuesday til Monday night, I've let Jason know that I expect dinner to be pizza or some other take-out each night, I will NOT under any circumstances be vacuuming or cleaning ANY toilets, the only kitchen duties I will be performing will be running the dishwasher as needed, though we'll be using disposable stuff as much as possible. Jason's got it easy too...well, let's face it, in the winter without yard work, he's got it easy anyway!

So besides renting movies and playing a couple of board games, give me some ideas! I definitely plan to break out my NEW WISHBLADE that I got last week . Jason will have to (unfortunately) go in to work on Thursday and Friday, but that still leaves us lots of time.

I swear, I think I'm looking forward to this "vacation" than our WDW "vacation"!

Having a Spa day at home? Long relaxing baths, salt/sugar scrubbing each other and then the mutual massages?

Reading a book together? Planning your next WDW vacation?

Go to the movies or a play.
We are going on vacation at home next week too but we are going to clean, clean, clean. DH will be hitting the road right after the new year so we are doing our spring cleaning early.

Enjoy your vacation!

I like the Spa At Home idea, I'll have to do that one for sure. I've nearly talked my neighbor into taking "a day off" with me and spending it scrapbooking. We're both SAHM's, and I think we could probably go in together and hire a babysitter.
