I've only been scrapbooking for a few years so I'm still learning, but I thought I would post a couple of pages that I've done.

My Disney book from our April/May 2005 trip was the first that I did in the 12x12 size.

This is from the opening page

Two page layout from the Tower of Terror

This one is the opening page for the section on our visit to the Titanic Experience. I wanted it to look like the image from the movie poster. I made the ship out of cardstock then drew on the railings. I'm not the best artist. ;)

I really like this layout. It comes from my Chicago 2005 book. I used the brouchure we got from the Sears Tower for the one image. I think it turned out really neat.

Also from my Chicago scrapbook is this two page layout for Wicked, which we saw in January 2006. I downloaded the pictures of Glinda and Elphaba from Chicago's website then printed it on my computer, so its the actual people we saw. :)

This one is from my favorite books, all about my friends. I was inspired by a song from Wicked, "For Good" which talks about how our friends have made us who we are. I was inspired to make a book all about how my friends have changed me and made me who I am. I picked 10 characteristics for each of them. My sister got 20 pages though. This is one of my favorite pages from that book, though I don't have the journaling done on it. The quote used is one of my favorite quotes of all time.

Those are great!! I think my favorite is the blue MGM page, something about the colors...and the ship on the Titanic page doesn't even look handmade, it looks like it came that way. You are a good artist!

For not being a good artist (as you say) you did a great job on the Titanic Page. I was going to ask when I first saw it where you found such a large embellishment. My favorite page though is the Magic Kingdom one.

Also do you have an idea of where you found the Mickey paper on the title page?

Thank you!

It was kind of a challenge to make the Titanic page. I found a picture of the movie poster on the Internet then changed it in Photoshop it was mostly the outlines, then printed it off in Publisher as a "poster" which required it be taped together, this was so I could get it the size I wanted. Then I layed that on top of the different card stock pieces and traced over the picture, making sure to press hard enough to leave an indent on the cardstock that I then traced over with a pen then cut it out. It turned out good, but if you look closely you will see some inperfections. I might redo it slightly so that it isn't so busy, but overall it turned out cool.

I did a page similar to that for the Penguin exhibit at Chicago. I made it so it looks like a penguin. I used white cardstock, then cut some black cardstock to glue on top of it. I then took various colored pencils to color up by the neck then blended that together. That page isn't done, which is why I didn't include it here.

I sometimes think I get *too* ambitious with my pages.

The Mickey paper I think I got at either the local scrapbook store or Joanns. I know I've seen it at Joanns recently though. They also have a Minnie one that looks similar.

I really like your Wicked layout! I did a layout when we saw it, but it's not that fancy and I don't have any pictures of the actual people. Great work!!

Wow! Those Wicked pages are great. I did a layout for when I saw it when it came to LA on tour, but I've been wanting to redo it since it's kind of so-so (plus I'd made it 8 1/2"x11" and I want it to be 12"x12" instead). I think that idea of using the cast pics is great. I'll have to see if I can find any of the old touring cast on the 'net still. Awesome idea. :)

Great pages! You should put them in the thread at the top of the page so everyone can see them whenever they might need an idea!

Great layouts. Loved looking at them. I really like how you used the maps. The black and green look great on the Wicked Page.
