wowser and yowsa -- Christmas is just 5 days away!!
how is everyone?? i'm a bit slammed as i'm sure most are -- i went to dr. yesterday and found out i have a sinus infection. oddly enough he put me on prednisone for 5 days to kick-start an anti-flammatory reaction for both my sinuses and my tendonitis. needless to say i did not sleep well last night. woke up at 5:30 with a headache. so here i am. i have a long day of grocery shopping and a few errands while my DDs are at the last day of school before break. i see Starbucks in my future :teeth:
shockingly my WI had me down 2 lbs, accounting for the pound i was up last week an overall loss of another pound. 10 pounds since BL started! i am seriously THRILLED and so thankful for this team, our support and friendship. i realized it's fizzled out with the holidays and WPASADI, but we'll carry threw the last two weeks together and celebrate our success Jan 3!
my brain is not working yet this morning -- i'm ready for updates from everyone else :surfweb:

add-on. just logged into my work email, to thank my wonderful boss for my memory pillow for my christmas gift. anyhow -- had this in my box and thought i'd share:
Holiday Parties Are Not The Enemy
Have fun and eat healthy at holiday parties, by trying these Don’t Gain, Maintain Tips of the Week:
Choose your indulgences wisely. Eat your favorite treats, or those you can’t have the rest of the year in moderate portions. If you fill half your plate with veggies there is less space for more calorie dense dishes.
Don’t go to a holiday party hungry. If you go hungry, your stomach will be making the decisions, not your brain. Eat healthy snack to curb your appetite.
Move away from tempting food. Avoid picking at food when you aren’t hungry.
Always have a low-calorie beverage in hand. This will help fill you up and it will keep your hands full.
There is more to parties than eating. Socialize!
Beware of alcohol. In addition to adding extra calories, drinking can be dangerous when traveling to and from holiday parties.

Hey everyone, I was at 141 this morning. I think that puts me 1 pound up this week, but I forgot to write it in my book this morning and write the loss in. I'll verify it this evening.
I ate 2 cookies and a brownie yesterday - GASP! That's not like me, but I feel myself leaning towards the "cheating" side because hey - IT's the Holidays.
I still have good habits in place though and I got up and had a wonderful breakfast.
My newest smoothie is a blueberry one - I love it even better than the pumpkin one.
1 cup (227g) plain nonfat yogurt
1 banana
140g frozen blueberries
14g raw walnuts
1/2 teaspon cinnamon
6 ice cubes
The flavor is soooo good! By far my favorite yet!
Molli - Sorry to hear you have a sinus infection. I have been sick since December 9th. I'm finally starting to feel better and today was the least congested since I've started. I actually had an appetite yesterday too. Which is why I think I ate the cookies and the brownie.
I'm really looking forward to starting the new year and once and for all getting rid of this weight. If I can stay around 141 till after Christmas I will be happy!
By the way the ADD A WISH WPASADI team finished our Challenge # 2 -I of course made sure there were healthy things to do on board our ship as well as have healthy restaurants. I'm having so much fun, but boy is it time consuming. I'm lacking in the sleep department.

Ok,
I need some serious help today. I can't stop eating chocolate. I pass up all sorts of goodies everyday. Why am I having trouble today. It all started with one of my boss' getting me a box of dark chocolate covered pretzels. Then I found 3 boxes of candy in the lunch room.
I've done a lot of damage so far. I must detox, lol!

Oh mel I'm with you on the detoxing!
I stepped on the scale after being away from it for 11 days, and I showed a 2 pound GAIN!
Right before I showered I weighed myself and actually made the 55 pound goal I was shooting for! and now I'm back and had a 2 pound gain, so officially for BL I had a 1 pound gain. For a total of 26 pounds or 12.5% lost since starting BL. Oh well some of it was worth it. Disney does do temptation up right!
By the way what happened last week on BL I missed it?
I'll check back in soon, I've got lots of things to keep me busy, still have a little christmas shopping to finish, and all the wrapping, plus I want to work on our trip report.
Have a great day BLUE!

I'm up 1.2 pounds for the week. Although tonight I stepped on the scale and was lower than when I weighed in this morning :confused3 but I am sticking with the 1.2 pound gain whether it happened or not.
Keep on moving and eating healthy. I know easier said than done when you've got so much to do and everyone keeps putting goodies in your face. :cheer2: :cheer2:

I maintained again this week, however, I am under more (than the ususal Christmas) stress than I'd like to be, and, yes, I am handling it with food. I ate a whack of sponge toffee (can you say "Eat the bowl of sugar with a spoon"?) :earseek: last night, along with a couple of other things that I didn't need. :rolleyes1 This will be a difficult day, but I am hopeful that I can pull myself together. I need to have some faith in myself. :) Fingers crossed for me and all of you, too. And if it doesn't work, I will work harder after the big week!

Morning~
Add me to the list of up one lb and it all went to my midroll ! Guess that is good it makes me uncomfortable!
I am here to say NO GOODIES for me today at work either! I am only working until 1:30 and then I am off until next Tuesday. I will do okay around the house cause I just have the cookies here that we made last weekend and I don't have to have any of them. We make white choc popcorn and so far I have just not had more than a few kernels last night when DH ate a bagful and if anything that is the most tempting - so I am just not going to start then I won't have to feel guilty when I don't stop!!
Gotta finish getting ready for work - Have a great GOODIE-FREE day you guys - just think all those "sugar" calories will look better on someone else than YOU :teeth:
AlaskaMom - I think you did great with such a small gain - get back on track and you will be fine! YOU are a losing machine! Can't wait to hear how much fun you had.
And 2nd in the CHALLENGE - WTG - TEAM ADD A WISH WPASADI !!!! I guess as long as you are not a "keyboard" eater - then spending lots of time on the challenge is helping with your healthy lifestyle plan of eating

Sorry for not checking in sooner. I had my final exam yesterday and I was just a little frazzled!
No change for me this week, thank goodness. I say that because I got into the Christmas candy a little bit :o
I am happy to report that I have found a walking buddy! :) Another mom I know is also trying to get in shape and I think it will help to have someone else to walk with.
I can't believe Christmas is a few days away! And we are leaving VERY soon for our trip. I just can't believe it. I don't even know what I shoud be doing! This is our first ever trip and I'm such a newbie.
OhMom- 2lb loss! That's awesome! :)
Melanie- that smoothie sounds delicious!
Jill- 12.5% is fantastic! I can't wait to read your trip report!
Becky- I always seem to weigh less in the evening, too. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around, though, so I've always been puzzled by that. :confused3
Debbie- just to maintain this time of year and NOT gain is definitely an accomplishment :thumbsup2

How is everyone doing? I hope all is well. I unfortunately did not excercise today as I don't feel well. I think I am getting a cold and I just feel yucky.

Just a quick note to everyone to stick with it!! This is such a hard time of year to be working on losing weight!
I'm so proud of all of us! No gains, minimal gains, and even some losses! With all the stress and temptations out there, I think it's great!
Just keep in mind that you are what needs to come first, Take care of you, and then taking care of others is much easier and rewarding!
Have an awesome day!
By the way I started my trip report, the link is in my sig.
Check it out if you want, there's still lots more to go on it!

Merry Christmas everyone! I just stopped in to say Hi! I just realize I've been on WISH way to long and DH and the kids are probably wondering what rock I fell under. I need to go finish getting ready so we can head to my MIL's house!
Hope everyone is doing well. I've been a bit (no a lot) out of control. I can't wait till today is over so I can end this madness. One box of chocolate covered pretzels and I was out of control. I still don't know why I do this to myself. The good thing is, I'm ready to take control again and get myself to goal once and for all!
