It always pays to keep checking until almost the last minute. We're leaving the 4th and I had booked a car from National going thru the Emerald Club. Used the code for a discount on daily, weekly, or week-end. Seeing as we were renting for a week, I tried the code (you also need your DC number) and saved over $40. I was quoted $192.82 (total w/tax, etc.) with Emerald and $157.91 with the DC code. I cancelled the original ressie and re-made it and got a confirmation for the lower rate. Same class, same days, same pick-up and drop-off times. We may not be able to go thru the Emerald Club Aisle but, at the time we're arriving (11:11 p.m.), there probably wouldn't be a lot to choose from anyway.

D&G, We're not supposed to post codes on the board that aren't available to everyone. (DC members only). That said; you should trying adding the 1freeday coupon code, to your reservation for additional savings:)

Ah! Sorry pbhunt. :( I deleted the code.

Wasn't aware of this. Makes sense and I should have realized it. Won't do it again. Love reading this board and I've amassed a lot of info. I'm going to try the one day code also. Thanks again.

No problemo, D&G:) Try pricing a pricing a brand new reservation using the contract ID code AND the coupon ID code in the coupon box... You can combine both discounts for additional savings. Have a wonderful trip! Alas, we have to wait until April...We have a full size rental at National for 4 days for $65.70, but I still keep checking for a lower price! :) :)

There is a buena vista coupon which brought my rental price down about 20$ don't remember what site it was on...someone on here might remember but it was a disney buena vista coupon - available to everyone just have to print the coupon off of the site
brought my 8 day rental to 163 rather than 189 (used dc contract id #) It might be on mousesavers.com

Hey pbhunt....just want to really thank you for your info. Brought my car rental down to $139.74. Only $102.85 for the week + taxes, etc. Appreciate the info you gave me. We leave in 3 days but I might still give this a last minute check before we go. Great rates. April will come fast and before you know it, you'll be in WDW too. Have a great time.

That's great news!!:) lawgs and pluto helped me alot, when I was a National Newbie. I'm glad that DC has extended the dates on their coupons, lillykat. For anyone to use, the link for the Disney Travel 1 free day coupon should appear below:) :) :

P.S. be sure to take printouts of coupon and contract pages with you when you pick up the car. Take your confirmation, and printouts of everything, just in case!
