Flying to HH

What are close cities to HH? I search Minneapolis to HH and it was like $700.00 a person! :sad2: Is there anywhere else to fly into?

We fly into Savannah.

Hilton Head is a very small airport. The drive from Savannah is a very easy one.

Delta has some very good deals directly into Hilton Head right now; check them out at www.delta.com. ATL to HHH is $75 one way for travel from March through Mid June, with black-out dates around Easter and Memorial Day; there are several other fares, ranging from $75 to $150 one way. These are some of the best deals I've seen directly to the island.

We picked up our daughter at Thanksgiving at the Savannah airport and it is very easy to get to from Hilton Head. You don't actually go into Savannah. It is on the outskirts of town and right off Interstate 95. It is small and they even have a park and phone parking lot where you can park for free and your passenger can call when they arrive and you just go to the pick them up. She flew from Bloomington, Illinois at it was a pretty reasonable rate at the time. There is also a shuttle that will take you from the airport to Hilton Head and drop you at any of the resorts. I don't know what the name is, but I think you can find out the information by going to the Savannah Airport web site.

I used to be a travel agent in HH. And we would always compare airfare prices between HHI airport, Savannah, Jacksonville Florida (about 3 hours) and Charleston SC (about 1.5 hours). I know that seems like a long drive, but if the savings are there... it might be worth it.

Look at airfares using the website www.sidestep.com . You will get all the altermative airports and different prices on it. Good luck! :sunny:
